hi,
Bei 100% CPU Last
im geschlossenem Bigtower gehäuse mit 2 Gehäuselüftern 76°C.

wer hatt auch so ein Mainboard und was für Temperaturen werden angezeigt?

Hmmm... also die Angabe deines CPU-Kühlers wäre schon recht hilfreich! Nicht alles was voll und ganz aus Kupfer ist, kühlt auch gut.... ::)

habe vorher global win fop-32 gehabt und noch höhere temperaturen.
der neue kühler ist von SmartCooler (fsm 1177h)
http://www.smartcooler.de/frscd16.htm
(ist am mainboard angeschlossen)

Hi ,,

Sorry if I write in english here.

I got the gigabyte ga-7vtxp and I am having the same problem,it reades the temperature about 10-12 c more then the real one.
I tried anything but coudn´t fix this problem,I also wrote an email to the Gigabyte service and still waiting for an answer.
I got also a second problem :
when I turn off my pc the heatsink fan doesn´t turn off at all,its only reduce the fan laps but still working.
I am sure the bios has a bug .
the motherboard is quite fast and has not other problems.

sandokan
it seems to be a problem with the thermal sensor...
or it is the same problem as with asus boards...

@sandokan
i have exact the same problem as you with the heatsink fan. if you find some solution please write me!
i also think it must be a bios problem. (now i have 77°C)

@druss

Yes sure I will .
At moment I connected the heatsink fan to the main power,in this way when I turn off my pc it goes also off,but the hardware monitor software doesn´t read the fan laps.
Is the led on your motherboard "on" all the time ?
Did you flash the bios ?
IF yes did you use the live internet update ?

SANDOKAN

@sandokan

-the led is all time on!
-i have flashed the bios F2 with flash848.exe utillity
(it was a little bit strange, because when i have flashed a new bios it shows a error at the startup but it works than!?)
i would not use a live update, the old method from dos is more save

Well, that's sort of interesting. We all know what ASUS is doing with their Bios-Software: Adding 'bout 10 to 20°C to the originally measured temperature.
Maybe Gigabyte is doing exactly the same thing with their new Mainboards and new Bios-Software. I mean, actually it doesn't really matter what the Bios-Software is trying to tell you 'bout the temperature, if you exactly know that it's adding some. But that takes away the possibility to compare, and actually that seems the real problem with Asus. Those guys there say, they're doing this to make clear, that the measured temperature isn't the real temperature in the Core.

Does somebody know whether Gigabyte is saying something 'bout this "problem"? I can't imagine that the CPU really got 76°C measured hot, that's sort of impossible, it would have burned out or crashed.

@druss

OKey ,

I did not flash yet my bios because I still use my old athlon 1200.
What do you mean with the error at the start up ?
does it came up all the time you boot your pc or it was only after you flashed your bios ?
My temperatur at moment is 60 degree cpu and 40 degree sistem.
It is 10-12 degree more then the real one,I tested it with 2 other old motherboard (kt133 and kt133a).
@sandokan
no this error commes only at the first start up after the flash.
now the comp. starts normaly :-)
is your temp. 60°C at 100% cpu use?

i have now sys. temp. 45
          cpu temp. 77 (100% cpu use)

by the way the copmuter is working fine without any errors or crashing. (but i have a bad feeling with this temp.)

The best way to check is to feel. When your temperature has reached the top (77°C, right?) then feel your cooler.
If the temperature is really as high as 77°C under the CPU, then the cooler should by quite hot. If you burn your fingers, then it really is hot, if not, the Bios-Software is telling you bullshit.

@druss

yes at 100% cpu use.
What really don´t like is the fun that doesn´t turn all off,I wait till next week if I don´t get any emails from Gigabyte I will send it back to the shop.
I wanted to save 50 dm and that is what I got !!! LOL

@D`Espice

why the heatsink fan doesn´t stop when I turn off my pc ?
What can be it ?

mj

Actually I think you have a problem either with your Power-Switch or with your Bios. Try to check your Bios, maybe you'll find an option called "CPU-Fan Off in Suspend". Check that one, set it do "Enabled", then try it again.
If it still doesn't stop, maybe you should try another Power-Connector on your mainboard. I mean, you don't have only one of them, do you?
And if that also doesn't work out, try to connect your fan directly to the Power-Switch, not the Mainboard. You know what I mean?

I gotta go now, but will be back in 'bout two or three hours. So you have to wait, but I will try to help you solving that problem as soon as I get back.

@D`Espice

I tried with 3 different power supply and got the same problem,in the bios there is no voice about disable fan in suspend mode,
the other guy (druss) has the same problem like me.
I also connect the heatsink fan to the power supply and this fixed the problem but now I cannot read the fan laps.
mj

Yeah, that's right, you can't do that anymore...
Is there maybe anykind of Jumper positioned on your Mainboard? I mean, there has to be something of somekind to disable the Fan... I heard 'bout that problem in association with other Mainboards, and those guys all got their problems solved. Actually I don't exactly know how to solve this one, without having a look in the manual.

I will do that tomorrow, gotta go now on a party. See ya tomorrow, I'll look that up. If I won't find anything, you'll have to live with that, until Gigabyte fixes it with a new Bios-Software.
