Das Board läuft bei mir jetzt seit ca. 3 wochen und ich muss sagen es ist super stabiel und die Ausstattung ist auch top.

Es ist ein sehr aufgeräumtes board. Auch wenn es einen strom anschluss für SSI hat so muss dieser nicht zwingend bestückt werden wenn mehr als eine Grafikkarte eingebaut wird. Eine besonderheit stellen auch die 2x PCI-E16 steckplätze da. Leider verfügt dieses board nicht über mehr PCI-E Steckplätze aber ich denke mit den zwei sollte man auskommen wenn man bedenkt das auch noch PCI-X verbaut ist.

Also die ausstattung ist ja oben schon aufgelistet.

Leider gibt es zwei negative Punkte an diesem Board. Zum einen eine unverträglichkeit mit Maxtor DiamondMax 10 Festplatten sowie auch keine möglichkeit NUMA zu aktivieren obwohl Windows 2003 EE dazu in der lage sein sollte. Nun gut bei beide kann man hoffen das es mit einem bios update behoben werden kann.

So nachdem ich das board nun schon 2 monate habe und ich es nicht mehr hergeben würde ^^ Mal eine kleine erweiterung.

Also das Ich hatte ja ein paar negative punkte erwähnt. Also sowohl NUMA als auch die Festplatten laufen mit einem neuen Bios nun einwandfrei. Also bios version wurde mir vom Tyan support einmal die version 100M und 100N zur verfügung gestellt. Da ich nun das bios 100N betreibe was bis jetzt wohl das letzte war. Muss ich sagen das es fortschritte gibt. Das festplatten problem ist verschwunden und alles läuft wie am schnürchen. Numa wird jetzt erwartungsgemäß auch vollständig unterstützt. Das ging zwar mit der ersten bios version zwar auch schon aber leider trat da ein Bug auf das sich immer wieder das bios vertellt hatte.

Neu hinzugekommen ist mit dem neuen Bios auch ein paar optinen. Einmal OPM (Opteron Power Managment) was die gleiche funktion hat wie cool & Quiet. Es ist sehr angenehm und Probleme damit tratten bis jetzt nicht auf.

Hardware Monitoring ist inzwischen auch verfügbar. Leider tretten dort noch fehler auf. Die erste cpu wird immer mit 128°C angezeigt was nicht stimmen kann. Naja das wird wohl auch noch werden. Was in dem zusammen hang auch noch hinzugefügt worde ist die Lüfter steuerung. Nun kann man vorrausgesetzt man bestitzt 4 PIN lüfter auch die umdrehung regeln. Diese funtkion wird mit dem Bios 100N auch vom Tyan Mainboard monitor unterstützt und angeboten.

Edit 2:

So nun ist das erste offizelle bios raus. Das 1.01 hat den support für Dualcore CPUs hinzugefügt. Leider funktioniert der Hardware monitor immer noch nicht richtig :(

Aber possitive zu sehen ist das es noch ein wenig schneller geworden ist. Anonsten ist es kein großer schitt vom 100n hin zum 101. Naja hoffentlich bekommen sie den Hardware monitor nochmal ordentlich hin.

Ja das Gute Tyan rennt mit Gentoo AMD64 und die
Opteronen haben ein hervorragendes Powermanagment.
Die Chips on board werden recht heiss und der SSi anschluss ist
nicht bestückt. Der Speicher sollte Single Rank sein dann kann man
voll aufrüsten.
