Bereits in unserer Meldung zum <a href="http://www.planet3dnow.de/cgi-bin/newspub/viewnews.cgi?category=1&id=1154083599">höchstem Marktanteil AMDs in der Geschichte</a> konnten wir über einen AMD-Umsatzanteil von 33 Prozent in diesem Marktsegment berichten, nun sind auch die Marktanteile der Stückzahlen bekannt geworden.
Laut Mercury Research stieg AMDs Anteil im zweiten Quartal von 22,1 auf 25,9 Prozent und wird sich wohl auch trotz Intels Woodcrest weiter erhöhen, da Dell erstmals Server mit AMD-Prozessoren anbieten und IBM seine Produktpalette mit auf dem Opteron basierenden Servern ausbauen wird.
