NVIDIA ForceWare 158.43 Beta für Windows Vista

Gerade erst hat NVIDIA mit dem ForceWare 158.42 einen ausschließlich für Karten der GeForce 8800 Serie geeigneten Beta-Treiber veröffentlicht (<a href="http://www.planet3dnow.de/cgi-bin/newspub/viewnews.cgi?category=2&id=1179251818">wir berichteten</a>), so steht jetzt mit dem ForceWare 158.43 ein weiterer offizieller Beta-Treiber zum Download bereit, der nun auch die GeForce Modelle 8600, 8500, 8400 und 8300 unterstützt. Das ist doch harmlos, schau dir mal die Chipsatztreiber an.

Ihr würdet euch sicherlich auch aufregen, wenn ihr ein Treiberpaket runterladen müsstet, das mehrere Hundert MB groß ist. Also haltet mal den Ball flach.

Ich finde es auch relativ bescheiden, dass nun plötzlich die UDA aufgegeben wird.

Aber andererseits machte es bei NVIDIA Treibern eh keinen Sinn auf alten Karten neue Treiber zu installieren (auch wenn es prinzipiell funktionierte).

Ich denke aber das es bald wieder einen Treiber für alle geben wird.


Ist wahrscheinlich im Moment nur die "plötzliche und überraschende" Vista einführung...

Die Konkurrenz bekommts doch hin, und knapp 50 MB für nen Treiber, der alle Karten der letzten 2-3 Jahre unterstützt ist doch ok?!

Komisch, genau so wird der letzte offizielle treiber aber verteilt - einer für alle und der ist nicht hunderte MB gross. Die wirkliche frage ist doch, wieso wurstelt nvidia jetzt plötzlich wieder mit einzel-treibern für nur eine generation rum, besonders weil es offenbar gar nicht notwendig ist:
