Hallo Team,
da sich viele im Simap-Forum darüber beschwert haben, kaum, oder garkeine WU's zu bekommen/bekommen zu haben (zuletzt nach 2 Tagen alle WU's "vergriffen" ;D ), hat man sich für September etwas Neues ausgedacht:
Yes, we will test a modified daily quota system during the next calculation period in the beginning of september (see above). The goal is to implement a dynamic quota per host, depending on the average turnaround time. We would like to test, how this solution will be accepted by the community.
On the other hand we currently prepare the integration of much more sequences into SIMAP (sequences from environmental genomics). This will drastically increase the size of SIMAP and thus also increase the number of calculations per month.

Das bedeutet wohl, je schneller man WU's in einer bestimmten Zeit zurückliefert, desto mehr bekommt man (bis zur maximalen Quota), eventuell nach dieser Formel:
Set Host_maximum_quota = minimum of (2*Host_maximum_quota) and Maximum of ((Project_maximum_quota) and (Project_maximum_quota*10-1,8*Host_average_turnaround_time*Project_maximum_quota))
Ausserdem werden durch die Integration von wesentlich mehr Sequenzen auch die WU's grösser, so dass das Projekt dann möglicherweise fast immer Arbeit hat.
Na, mal sehen, wie sich das auswirkt. Bunkern wie bisher wird dann aber wohl unmöglich sein.
