Auch wenn die Verfügbarkeit momentan noch schlechter ist als bei der AMD ATI Radeon HD 5870, haben mittlerweile einige Redaktionen Samples der HD 5850 erhalten. Über die Reviews wollen wir euch einen kleinen Überblick geben.

Sie ist also besser als z.B. Computerbase mit einer runtergetakteten 5870 simuliert hatte. Und mit der verringerten Spannung wesentlich sparsamer, auf Niveau der 4850, sehr gut. Bin wirklich gespannt, wie sich die 5700er Reihe diesbezüglich verhält, kann ja eigentlich nur nochmal weniger verbrauchen.

Ich kann wirklich nur für uns und für AMD hoffen, daß die Dinger auch bald breit verfügbar werden.

Für die kommenden drei Monate wird AMD/ATi sicherlich mit dem RV870 Hecht im Karpfenteich sein und in puncto Leistungsaufnahme kann man schon jetzt mit idealen Leerlauf-Werten brillieren. Aber man sollte nicht vergessen, daß sich ein brandneuer RV870 mit betagten G200 Chips duelliert. 'Fermi' alias G300 scheint als ein Wolf im Schafspelz daherzukommen. Wenn dem so ist, wird sich nicht viel zur Prä-RV870-Situation ändern. nVidia bleibt weiterhin an der Spitze.
Das Rennen wird spannend. Jedenfalls werde ich den Entsatz meiner HD4830 noch nicht so schnell beschaffen, nVidia hat mit dem Lupfen des Schleiers zumindest bei mir erreicht, daß ich noch etwas warte, bevor ich mein Geld diesem oder jenem in den Rachen werfen werde ...
