Die Open Source Edition der Software kann, wie der Name vermuten lässt, als Source heruntergeladen werden, sie enthält allerdings nicht alle Funktionen der Closed Source Variante. Genaueres kann man auf der <a href="http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Editions" target="b">Projekt-Seite</a> nachlesen.

VirtualBox ist für Windows, Mac OS X, Linux und Solaris verfügbar. Zu den unterstützten Gastsystemen zählen neben Windows, Mac OS X, Linux und Solaris auch OS/2, DOS und einige BSD-Derivate.<p style="clear:left">

bin mal gespannt wie lange es dauert bis VirtualBox Android mit in die Liste der unterstützten Betriebssysteme aufnimmt.
Als Gast soll es ja inoffiziell schon gehn, nicht aber als host.

Es wäre hier evtl. sinnvoll hier die Download-Seite von Virtualbox explizit mit aufzuführen, da diese Anleitungen für Debian-basierte (z.B. Ubuntu) bzw. RPM-basierte (z.B. openSUSE) Linux Systeme enthält.

So bekommt man die Aktualisierungen immer automatisch über den Paketmanager.
