Auch beim Mainboard-Hersteller Gigabyte gibt es auf der CeBIT einige neue Mainboards mit dem schwarzen Sockel AM3+ für die kommenden AMD Bulldozer-Prozessoren zu sehen. Interessanterweise nimmt Gigabyte das Wort "AM3+" nicht in den Mund. Auf den Platinen ist lediglich "AM3" aufgedruckt, obwohl der Sockel eindeutig als AM3+ ("AM3b") zu identifizieren ist, und auf der Produktbeschreibung spricht Gigabyte von "Next Generation AM3".

Die Boards unterscheiden sich nicht nur anhand des Formfaktors und einem PCIe-Slot mehr oder weniger, sondern erheblich anhand der externen Schnittstellen.

Das Gigabyte GA-E350N-USB3 ist mit einer AMD Dual-Core Zacate E350 bestückt und wurde sogar mit einem USB 3.0 Controller-Chip ausgestattet.
