Welchen dringlichen oder schweren Fehler behebt der Treiber denn, dass er die Bezeichnung Hotfix verdient? Mir scheinen es allgemeine Fehlerbehebungen zu sein, die aufgeführt werden.
 
Hatte AMD nicht angekündigt 2016 mehr Treiber rauszubringen mit der Unterscheidung zwischen Release und Hotfix - ansonsten gibt es ja noch so einiges zu "fixen" im Crimson.
 
... gerade eben habe ich die integrierte Update Funktion der Crimson Edition angeworfen und siehe da, es steht ein neue WHQL Treiber zur Verfügung. Die Nummer des Treibers lautet 16.15.0000.0000 - 160105a.

Wenn ich aber auf die Versionshinweise drauf klicke, lande ich bei Version 15.12 WHQL.

Was ist dran an dieser Meldung ?

Ist es ein Fehler seitens AMD oder wie darf ich die ganze Angelegenheit verstehen ?

Kann mal einer bitte kurz selber bei seinem Crimson Edition die Update Funktion anschmeissen und schauen ?

Lass dich nicht kirre machen. Überleg, was du installiertest. War es 16.1 Hotfix? Ja? Dann ist alles bestens.
Internen Update-Funktionen sollte man nie trauen. Erhält man von einer eine andere Information als aus einer anderen Quelle, so hat Erstere mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit Unrecht. Deshalb mag ich interne "Updater", die nur den Browser für dich öffnen und die Seite aufrufen, auf der man die neueste Version (oder seine installierte der neuesten gegenübergestellt) sieht.
Und dass ein Grafiktreiber mal die Versionsnummer einer älteren Version zur Schau stellt, passiert fast jedes Jahr.
 
Bekommt noch jemand diese Meldung, sobald man auf "Nach Aktualisierungen suchen" klickt oder die Radeon Software dies selbstständig tut?

 
Nö, denn ich hab kein Linux.
