Recent\u00adly, CaseLabs and some of its per\u00adson\u00adnel, inclu\u00adding Kevin Kea\u00adting, pos\u00adted attacks upon Ther\u00admal\u00adta\u00adke. Tho\u00adse attacks have included accu\u00adsa\u00adti\u00adons that Ther\u00admal\u00adta\u00adke and one of its employees, Mr. Shan\u00adnon Robb, \u201csto\u00adle\u201d CaseLabs\u2019 case design and enga\u00adged in unfair com\u00adpe\u00adti\u00adti\u00adon. CaseLabs now reg\u00adrets tho\u00adse state\u00adments and apo\u00adlo\u00adgi\u00adzes for making them. <\/p>\n

CaseLabs\u2019 accu\u00adsa\u00adti\u00adons were fal\u00adse. As CaseLabs admits in its retrac\u00adtion and apo\u00adlo\u00adgy letter: <\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>CaseLabs ack\u00adnow\u00adled\u00adges that it does not own any patents on any of its case pro\u00adducts. CaseLabs\u2019 pos\u00adtings, which sug\u00adgested that liti\u00adga\u00adting to enforce patents would be pro\u00adhi\u00adbi\u00adtively expen\u00adsi\u00adve, were mis\u00adlea\u00adding, becau\u00adse they impli\u00aded that CaseLabs actual\u00adly owned patents, which it does not. CaseLabs reg\u00adrets this error. CaseLabs apo\u00adlo\u00adgi\u00adzes for accu\u00adsing Mr. Robb and Ther\u00admal\u00adta\u00adke of \u201cste\u00adal\u00ading\u201d any\u00adthing. The look of a com\u00adpu\u00adter case will always have some simi\u00adlar fea\u00adtures \u2014 given its func\u00adtion\u00adal natu\u00adre. CaseLabs retracts its accu\u00adsa\u00adti\u00adons against Ther\u00admal\u00adta\u00adke for \u201ccopy\u00ading other people\u2019s exis\u00adting con\u00adcepts and cal\u00adling them your own\u201d and of pro\u00addu\u00adcing \u201crip-off products.\u201d <\/p>\n

The unflat\u00adte\u00adring comm\u00adents about over\u00adse\u00adas com\u00adpe\u00adti\u00adti\u00adon have also been retrac\u00adted by CaseLabs. Again quo\u00adting from CaseLabs\u2019 retrac\u00adtion and apo\u00adlo\u00adgy letter: <\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>CaseLabs reg\u00adrets its pre\u00advious state\u00adments about Asi\u00adan low pri\u00adce com\u00adpe\u00adti\u00adti\u00adon.
