Today at Ora\u00adcle Open\u00adWorld 2018,AMD<\/span> (NASDAQ<\/span>: AMD<\/span>) announ\u00adced the avai\u00adla\u00adbi\u00adli\u00adty of the first AMD<\/span> EPYC<\/span>TM<\/span><\/sup> pro\u00adces\u00adsor-based ins\u00adtance on Ora\u00adcle Cloud Infra\u00adstruc\u00adtu\u00adre. With this announce\u00adment, Ora\u00adcle beco\u00admes the lar\u00adgest public cloud pro\u00advi\u00adder to have a Bare Metal ver\u00adsi\u00adon on AMD<\/span> EPYC<\/span>TM<\/span><\/sup>pro\u00adces\u00adsors1<\/sup>. The AMD<\/span> EPYC<\/span> pro\u00adces\u00adsor-based \u201cE\u201d series will lead with the bare metal, Stan\u00addard \u201cE2<\/span>\u201d, available imme\u00addia\u00adte\u00adly as the first ins\u00adtance type within the Series. At $0.03\/Core hour, the AMD<\/span> EPYC<\/span> ins\u00adtance is up to 66 per\u00adcent less on avera\u00adge per core than gene\u00adral pur\u00adpo\u00adse ins\u00adtances offe\u00adred by the com\u00adpe\u00adti\u00adti\u00adon2<\/sup> and is the most cost-effec\u00adti\u00adve ins\u00adtance available on any public cloud.<\/p>\n
