The tran\u00adsac\u00adtion includes buil\u00addings, faci\u00adli\u00adties, and equip\u00adment, as well as IP<\/span> asso\u00adcia\u00adted with GF<\/span>\u2019s MEMS<\/span> busi\u00adness. GF<\/span> will con\u00adti\u00adnue to ope\u00adra\u00adte the faci\u00adli\u00adty through the end of 2019, pro\u00advi\u00adding a tran\u00adsi\u00adti\u00adon peri\u00adod to faci\u00adli\u00adta\u00adte tech\u00adno\u00adlo\u00adgy trans\u00adfers for VIS<\/span> and exis\u00adting GF<\/span> cus\u00adto\u00admers. Fab 3E<\/span> curr\u00adent\u00adly mana\u00adges a month\u00adly capa\u00adci\u00adty of appro\u00adxi\u00adm\u00adate\u00adly 35,000 8\u2011inch wafers. The tran\u00adsac\u00adtion amounts to $236 mil\u00adli\u00adon USD<\/span> and the trans\u00adfer of owner\u00adship is set to be com\u00adple\u00adted on Decem\u00adber 31st, 2019.<\/p>\n

VIS<\/span> and GF<\/span> have alre\u00ada\u00addy rea\u00adched con\u00adsen\u00adsus on the trans\u00adfer of Fab 3E<\/span>\u2019s employees and cus\u00adto\u00admers. Both com\u00adpa\u00adnies belie\u00adve that employees are the most important assets of a com\u00adpa\u00adny, so their inte\u00adrests should be put as the first prio\u00adri\u00adty during the transition\u2013while ensu\u00adring no dis\u00adrup\u00adti\u00adon to cus\u00adto\u00admers who\u00adse pro\u00adducts are in pro\u00adduc\u00adtion at the fab.
