Der Packer RAR<\/span> oder eben Win\u00adRAR gilt nach wie vor als einer der leis\u00adtungs\u00adf\u00e4\u00adhigs\u00adten sei\u00adner Art. Als kos\u00adten\u00adpflich\u00adti\u00adge Share\u00adware hat er es jedoch seit gerau\u00admer Zeit schwer, auf dem Markt gegen die inte\u00adgrier\u00adte Out-of-the-box-L\u00f6sung f\u00fcr ZIP-Datei\u00aden unter Micro\u00adsoft-Betriebs\u00adsys\u00adte\u00admen oder gar die v\u00f6l\u00adlig kos\u00adten\u00adlo\u00adsen und noch dazu Open-Source-L\u00f6sun\u00adgen wie 7\u2011Zip<\/a> zu bestehen. <\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Ver\u00adsi\u00adon 5.71 beta 1<\/p>\n

1. \u201cCon\u00advert archi\u00adves\u201d command:<\/p>\n

a) impro\u00adved per\u00adfor\u00admance when pro\u00adces\u00adsing a lot of small archives
\nin Win\u00addows 10;<\/p>\n

b) fixed memo\u00adry leaks which could lead to exces\u00adsi\u00adve memo\u00adry use
\nwhen con\u00adver\u00adting to ZIP<\/span> format.<\/p>\n

2. Cor\u00adrupt ZIP<\/span> archi\u00adve processing:<\/p>\n

a) \u201cRepair\u201d com\u00admand replaces packed and unpa\u00adcked file sizes stored
\nin local file hea\u00adder with sizes from cen\u00adtral directory
\nif local hea\u00adder sizes look invalid;<\/p>\n

b) file extra\u00adc\u00adtion is stop\u00adped at unpa\u00adcked size stored in ZIP<\/span> headers
\neven if available packed data allows fur\u00adther extraction.
\nIt is done to pre\u00advent unex\u00adpec\u00adted hard dri\u00adve space usage.<\/p>\n

3. Ctrl+C allows to abort RAR<\/span> \u201cl\u201d com\u00admand quick\u00adly. In pre\u00advious versions
\nit could take seve\u00adral seconds until list com\u00admand stopped.<\/p>\n

4. Bugs fixed:<\/p>\n

a) if \u201cSave archi\u00adve name\u201d and \u201cAdd to con\u00adtext menu\u201d opti\u00adons were
\nset in com\u00adpres\u00adsi\u00adon pro\u00adfi\u00adle para\u00adme\u00adters and pro\u00adfi\u00adle was invoked
\nfrom Explo\u00adrer con\u00adtext menu, Win\u00adRAR pro\u00adpo\u00adsed an automatically
\ngene\u00adra\u00adted archi\u00adve name ins\u00adtead of name saved in profile.<\/p>\n

b) Win\u00adRAR dis\u00adplay\u00aded an unnee\u00added pair of round bra\u00adckets in \u201cArchi\u00adve\u201d
\ncolumn of \u201cDia\u00adgno\u00adstic mes\u00adsa\u00adges\u201d win\u00addow for sys\u00adtem error messages;<\/p>\n

c) \u201cExtra\u00adct to fol\u00adder\\\u201d Win\u00addows Explo\u00adrer con\u00adtext menu com\u00admand could
\nfail to unpack ZIP<\/span> archi\u00adves if their names included a numeric
\npart fol\u00adlo\u00adwed by .zip exten\u00adsi\u00adon, arbi\u00adtra\u00adry data was present
\nbefo\u00adre the first file record and \u201cRemo\u00adve red\u00adun\u00addant fol\u00adders from
\nextra\u00adc\u00adtion path\u201d Win\u00adRAR opti\u00adon was swit\u00adched on;<\/p>\n

d) in \u201cRAR<\/span> x \u2011x<mask> arc\u00adna\u00adme\u201d com\u00admand, parent fol\u00adders of files
\nmatching the spe\u00adci\u00adfied mask also were excluded from extracting;<\/p>\n

e) \u201cFind\u201d com\u00admand retur\u00adned the cur\u00adrent fol\u00adder own name additionally
\nto its con\u00adtents for \u201cCur\u00adrent fol\u00adder\u201d search area if fol\u00adder name
\nmatched \u201cFile names to find\u201d mask;<\/p>\n

f) if \u201cFind in files\u201d and \u201cFind in archi\u00adves\u201d are both enabled,
\n\u201cFind\u201d com\u00admand did not match an archi\u00adve name its\u00adelf against
\n\u201cFile names to find\u201d mask after sear\u00adching insi\u00adde of archive.
\nSo it did not dis\u00adplay archi\u00adve names for masks like *.rar
\nand appli\u00aded this mask only to files insi\u00adde of archives;<\/p>\n

g) when run\u00adning an exe\u00adcu\u00adta\u00adble direct\u00adly from archi\u00adve, Win\u00adRAR 5.70
\ndid not set a tem\u00adpo\u00adra\u00adry fol\u00adder with unpa\u00adcked files as current.
\nSo exe\u00adcu\u00adta\u00adbles attemp\u00adting to access other archi\u00adved files
\nin cur\u00adrent fol\u00adder could fail to work;<\/p>\n

h) Win\u00adRAR could be inac\u00adces\u00adsil\u00adbe for few seconds after closing
\nan archi\u00adved file ope\u00adned in inter\u00adnal view\u00ader in Win\u00addows 10;<\/p>\n

i) drag\u00adging a file to sub\u00adfol\u00adder of ZIP<\/span> archi\u00adve with \u201cStore full paths\u201d
\nopti\u00adon enab\u00adled pro\u00addu\u00adced inva\u00adlid path\u00adna\u00admes con\u00adsis\u00adting of repeated
\nsub\u00adfol\u00adder name. Same inva\u00adlid path\u00adna\u00admes were pro\u00addu\u00adced if adding files
\nto ZIP<\/span> archi\u00adve with \u2011ap<folder> \u2011ep2 switches.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
