Exa\u00adsol has main\u00adtai\u00adned its posi\u00adti\u00adon as the undis\u00adpu\u00adted lea\u00adder \u2013 by a signi\u00adfi\u00adcant mar\u00adgin \u2013 for both raw per\u00adfor\u00admance and pri\u00adce-per\u00adfor\u00admance for over a deca\u00adde. Now, run\u00adning the bench\u00admark on <span class=\"caps\">AMD<\/span> <span class=\"caps\">EPYC<\/span>\u2122 pro\u00adces\u00adsor-based ser\u00advers, pri\u00adce-per\u00adfor\u00admance records have been bro\u00adken yet&nbsp;again.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"dquo\">\u201c<\/span>The last time we ran the <span class=\"caps\">TPC<\/span>\u2011H bench\u00admark we did so using Intel ser\u00advers, so when <span class=\"caps\">AMD<\/span> sug\u00adgested test\u00ading our data\u00adba\u00adse on an <span class=\"caps\">AMD<\/span> &nbsp;EPYC-based ser\u00adver, which is signi\u00adfi\u00adcant\u00adly less expen\u00adsi\u00adve, we knew that tog\u00ade\u00adther we could deli\u00adver record-brea\u00adking results,\u201d said Mathi\u00adas Golom\u00adbek, <span class=\"caps\">CTO<\/span> at Exa\u00adsol. \u201cThe com\u00adbi\u00adna\u00adti\u00adon of <span class=\"caps\">AMD<\/span> CPUs with Exa\u00adsol 6.2 has resul\u00adted in the best pri\u00adce-per\u00adfor\u00admance we\u2019ve ever seen for this benchmark.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The bench\u00admark was com\u00adple\u00adted on two cate\u00adgo\u00adries, 3 Tera\u00adbytes (<span class=\"caps\">TB<\/span>) and 10 <span class=\"caps\">TB<\/span>. The pri\u00adce per per\u00adfor\u00admance results are $0.07 for <span class=\"caps\">3TB<\/span> and $0.10 for <span class=\"caps\">10TB<\/span>, which are a signi\u00adfi\u00adcant reduc\u00adtion from the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.exasol.com\/en\/company\/newsroom\/news-and-press\/2014-09-25-fastest-in-memory-performance-benchmark-ever\/\">2014 bench\u00admark<\/a>&nbsp;which scored at $0.15 and $0.17 respec\u00adtively. The\u00adse results demons\u00adtra\u00adte Exasol\u2019s speed, sca\u00adla\u00adbi\u00adli\u00adty and cost\/performance which have con\u00adsis\u00adt\u00adent\u00adly domi\u00adna\u00adted the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tpc.org\/tpch\/results\/tpch_perf_results.asp\"><span class=\"caps\">TPC<\/span>\u2011H bench\u00admarks<\/a>&nbsp;sin\u00adce&nbsp;2008.<\/p>\n<p>The latest results were achie\u00adved with Exa\u00adsol 6.2 run\u00adning on a Dell PowerEdge <span class=\"caps\">R6415<\/span> clus\u00adter with the <span class=\"caps\">AMD<\/span> <span class=\"caps\">EPYC<\/span>\u2122 <span class=\"caps\">7551P<\/span> pro\u00adces\u00adsor.
