SANTA<\/span> CLARA<\/span>, Calif., Jan. 21, 2020 \u2013 Intel Cor\u00adpo\u00adra\u00adti\u00adon announ\u00adced today that at the company\u2019s Jan. 15 board mee\u00adting Andy D. Bryant step\u00adped down as chair\u00adman and the board elec\u00adted lead inde\u00adpen\u00addent direc\u00adtor Dr. Omar Ishrak<\/a> to suc\u00adceed Bryant as an inde\u00adpen\u00addent chair\u00adman, effec\u00adti\u00adve imme\u00addia\u00adte\u00adly. Intel also announ\u00adced that Alys\u00adsa Hen\u00adry<\/a> was elec\u00adted to Intel\u2019s board. Her elec\u00adtion marks the seventh new inde\u00adpen\u00addent direc\u00adtor added to Intel\u2019s board sin\u00adce the begin\u00adning of 2016.<\/p>\n

Bryant will remain on the board through the end of Intel\u2019s 2020 annu\u00adal stock\u00adhol\u00adders\u2019 mee\u00adting. He had pre\u00advious\u00adly noti\u00adfied the board in March 2019 that he did not intend to stand for re-elec\u00adtion at this year\u2019s mee\u00adting. Bryant made the decis\u00adi\u00adon to lea\u00adve the role now in order to faci\u00adli\u00adta\u00adte an effec\u00adti\u00adve transition.<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>I want to thank and con\u00adgra\u00adtu\u00adla\u00adte Andy for over seven years\u2019 ser\u00advice as chair\u00adman of the board,\u201d said Intel CEO<\/span> Bob Swan. \u201cAndy has been a rud\u00adder for Intel during a time of chan\u00adge and trans\u00adfor\u00adma\u00adti\u00adon. He has led the board with inte\u00adgri\u00adty and always with Intel\u2019s best inte\u00adrest in mind.\u201d<\/p>\n
