Der Packer RAR<\/span> oder eben Win\u00adRAR gilt nach wie vor als einer der leis\u00adtungs\u00adf\u00e4\u00adhigs\u00adten sei\u00adner Art. Als kos\u00adten\u00adpflich\u00adti\u00adge Share\u00adware hat er es jedoch seit gerau\u00admer Zeit schwer, auf dem Markt gegen die inte\u00adgrier\u00adte Out-of-the-box-L\u00f6sung f\u00fcr ZIP-Datei\u00aden unter Micro\u00adsoft-Betriebs\u00adsys\u00adte\u00admen oder gar die v\u00f6l\u00adlig kos\u00adten\u00adlo\u00adsen und noch dazu Open-Source-L\u00f6sun\u00adgen wie etwa  7\u2011Zip<\/a> zu bestehen.<\/p>\n

Chan\u00adge\u00adlog:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ver\u00adsi\u00adon 5.90 beta 1<\/p>\n

1. RAR<\/span> com\u00adpres\u00adsi\u00adon speed is impro\u00adved for CPUs with 16 and more cores.<\/p>\n

2. \u201cFas\u00adtest\u201d method (-m1 com\u00admand line equi\u00adva\u00adlent) typi\u00adcal\u00adly achieves
\na hig\u00adher com\u00adpres\u00adsi\u00adon ratio for high\u00adly com\u00adpres\u00adsi\u00adble data types
\nwhen crea\u00adting RAR5<\/span> archives.<\/p>\n

3. Maxi\u00admum num\u00adber of uti\u00adli\u00adzed threads is increased from 32 to 64.
\nCom\u00admand line \u2011mt<threads> switch accepts values from 1 to 64.<\/p>\n

4. \u201cMul\u00adti\u00adth\u00adre\u00ada\u00adding\u201d para\u00adme\u00adter on \u201cGene\u00adral\u201d page of Win\u00adRAR settings
\nis repla\u00adced with \u201cThreads\u201d input field, whe\u00adre you can specify
\nthe desi\u00adred num\u00adber of CPU<\/span> threads. It can take values from 1 to
\nmaxi\u00admum num\u00adber of available logi\u00adcal CPU<\/span> units.<\/p>\n

5. Win\u00adRAR dis\u00adplays packed and unpa\u00adcked fol\u00adder sizes when browsing
\narchi\u00adve contents.<\/p>\n

6. \u201cTotal fol\u00adders\u201d field is added to list of archi\u00adve parameters
\ndis\u00adplay\u00aded by Win\u00adRAR \u201cInfo\u201d com\u00admand. Same field is added to
\n\u201cArchi\u00adve\u201d page in archi\u00adve pro\u00adper\u00adties in Win\u00addows Explorer.<\/p>\n

7. Win\u00addow inclu\u00adding a pro\u00adgress bar and \u201cCan\u00adcel\u201d but\u00adton is displayed
\nif rea\u00adding archi\u00adve con\u00adtents takes noti\u00adceable time.
\nIt can be useful for archi\u00adve for\u00admats with slower access to contents,
\nsuch as lar\u00adge TAR<\/span> based archi\u00adves like .tar.gz and tar.bz2.<\/p>\n

8. Archi\u00adving and extra\u00adc\u00adtion pro\u00adgress win\u00addows, also as pro\u00adgress windows
\nfor some other com\u00admands, can be resized.<\/p>\n

9. \u201cRepair\u201d per\u00adfor\u00admance for RAR5<\/span> archi\u00adves with reco\u00advery record
\nand wit\u00adhout data shifts is impro\u00adved. It dete\u00adrio\u00adra\u00adted in Win\u00adRAR 5.80
\nand is now res\u00adto\u00adred to ori\u00adgi\u00adnal level.<\/p>\n

10. Pass\u00adword prompt is not issued when per\u00adforming reco\u00advery record based
\nrepair for RAR5<\/span> archi\u00adves with encrypt\u00aded file names.
\nThis com\u00admand can be per\u00adfor\u00admed wit\u00adhout pro\u00advi\u00adding a password.<\/p>\n

11. If fol\u00adder for con\u00adver\u00adted archi\u00adves in \u201cCon\u00advert archi\u00adves\u201d command
\ndoes not exist, Win\u00adRAR attempts to crea\u00adte it. Pre\u00advious versions
\nfai\u00adled to crea\u00adte con\u00adver\u00adted archi\u00adves in non-exis\u00adtent desti\u00adna\u00adti\u00adon folder.<\/p>\n

12. Bugs fixed:<\/p>\n

a) \u201cRepair\u201d com\u00admand could erro\u00adn\u00adeous\u00adly dis\u00adplay \u201cReco\u00advery record is
\ncor\u00adrupt\u201d mes\u00adsa\u00adge when pro\u00adces\u00adsing an archi\u00adve with valid recovery
\nrecord. This mes\u00adsa\u00adge did not pre\u00advent fur\u00adther repair operation;<\/p>\n

b) if quick open infor\u00adma\u00adti\u00adon opti\u00adon was set to \u201cDo not add\u201d in default
\ncom\u00adpres\u00adsi\u00adon pro\u00adfi\u00adle and this pro\u00adfi\u00adle was loa\u00added by some command
\nor dia\u00adlog, Win\u00adRAR igno\u00adred quick open infor\u00adma\u00adti\u00adon when browsing
\ncon\u00adtents of RAR<\/span> archi\u00adves. For exam\u00adp\u00adle, it hap\u00adpen\u00aded after opening
\narchi\u00adving or pass\u00adword dialogs;<\/p>\n

c) Ctrl+C \u201cCopy\u201d short\u00adcut key did not work in archi\u00adve com\u00adment window;<\/p>\n

d) if \u201cPut each file to sepa\u00adra\u00adte archi\u00adve\u201d and \u201cArchi\u00adves in subfolders\u201d
\nopti\u00adons were set, Win\u00adRAR igno\u00adred the desti\u00adna\u00adti\u00adon path specified
\nin archi\u00adve name field.<\/p>\n
