The <span class=\"caps\">V1<\/span> line bro\u00adke ground in Febru\u00adary 2018, and began test wafer pro\u00adduc\u00adtion in the second half of 2019. Its first pro\u00adducts will be deli\u00adver\u00aded to cus\u00adto\u00admers in the first quarter.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"dquo\">\u201c<\/span>Along with tech\u00adno\u00adlo\u00adgy lea\u00adder\u00adship and design infra\u00adstruc\u00adtu\u00adre, manu\u00adfac\u00adtu\u00adring excel\u00adlence is one of the most important ele\u00adments of the foundry busi\u00adness,\u201d said Dr. <span class=\"caps\">ES<\/span> Jung, Pre\u00adsi\u00addent and Head of Foundry Busi\u00adness at Sam\u00adsung Elec\u00adtro\u00adnics. \u201cAs we ramp up pro\u00adduc\u00adtion, the <span class=\"caps\">V1<\/span> line will enhan\u00adce our abili\u00adty to respond to mar\u00adket demand and expand oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adties to sup\u00adport our customers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <span class=\"caps\">V1<\/span> line is curr\u00adent\u00adly pro\u00addu\u00adcing sta\u00adte-of-the-art mobi\u00adle chips with 7 and 6nm pro\u00adcess tech\u00adno\u00adlo\u00adgy and will con\u00adti\u00adnue to adopt finer cir\u00adcuit\u00adry up to the 3nm pro\u00adcess&nbsp;node.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By the end of 2020, the cumu\u00adla\u00adti\u00adve total invest\u00adment in the <span class=\"caps\">V1<\/span> line will reach <span class=\"caps\">USD<\/span> 6 bil\u00adli\u00adon in accordance with Samsung\u2019s plan and the total capa\u00adci\u00adty from 7nm and below pro\u00adcess node is expec\u00adted to tri\u00adple from that of 2019.
