Start\u00ading today, Ama\u00adzon EC2<\/span> C5a ins\u00adtances have expan\u00added avai\u00adla\u00adbi\u00adli\u00adty to include AWS<\/span> Euro\u00adpe (Stock\u00adholm), Asia Paci\u00adfic (Hong Kong), Asia Paci\u00adfic (Tokyo), Asia Paci\u00adfic (Seo\u00adul), Euro\u00adpe (Lon\u00addon), US<\/span> West (N. Cali\u00adfor\u00adnia) and Cana\u00adda (Cen\u00adtral) Regi\u00adons. In addi\u00adti\u00adon, 8xlarge and 16xlarge sizes of Ama\u00adzon EC2<\/span> M5ad and R5ad ins\u00adtances are now available in the US<\/span> East (N. Ama\u00adzon EC2<\/span> C5a ins\u00adtances were laun\u00adched<\/a> in June of 2020. C5a ins\u00adtances fea\u00adture 2nd gene\u00adra\u00adti\u00adon AMD<\/span> EPYC<\/span>\u2122 7002 series pro\u00adces\u00adsors run\u00adning at fre\u00adquen\u00adci\u00ades up to 3.3 GHz, and are vari\u00adants of the Ama\u00adzon EC2<\/span> com\u00adpu\u00adte opti\u00admi\u00adzed (C5<\/span><\/a>) fami\u00adly of ins\u00adtances. M5ad and R5ad ins\u00adtances were laun\u00adched<\/a> in March of 2019. The\u00adse ins\u00adtances are vari\u00adants of Ama\u00adzon EC2<\/span> gene\u00adral pur\u00adpo\u00adse (M5<\/span><\/a>) and memo\u00adry opti\u00admi\u00adzed (R5<\/span><\/a>) ins\u00adtances and fea\u00adture AMD<\/span> EPYC<\/span>\u2122 7000 series pro\u00adces\u00adsors with an all core tur\u00adbo clock speed of up to 2.5 GHz as well as NVMe-based SSD<\/span> block level ins\u00adtance sto\u00adrage phy\u00adsi\u00adcal\u00adly con\u00adnec\u00adted to the host server.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The\u00adse EC2<\/span> ins\u00adtances fea\u00adturing AMD<\/span> pro\u00adces\u00adsors pro\u00advi\u00adde opti\u00adons for cus\u00adto\u00admers who are loo\u00adking to achie\u00adve a 10% cost savings on their Ama\u00adzon EC2<\/span> com\u00adpu\u00adte envi\u00adron\u00adment for a varie\u00adty of workloads. C5a ins\u00adtances are ide\u00adal for a broad set of com\u00adpu\u00adte-inten\u00adsi\u00adve workloads inclu\u00adding batch pro\u00adces\u00adsing, dis\u00adtri\u00adbu\u00adted ana\u00adly\u00adtics, data trans\u00adfor\u00adma\u00adti\u00adons, log ana\u00adly\u00adsis, gam\u00ading, and web appli\u00adca\u00adti\u00adons. M5ad ins\u00adtances are ide\u00adal for workloads that requi\u00adre a balan\u00adce of com\u00adpu\u00adte and memo\u00adry resour\u00adces along with high-speed, low laten\u00adcy local block sto\u00adrage inclu\u00adding data log\u00adging and media pro\u00adces\u00adsing. R5ad ins\u00adtances are ide\u00adal for memo\u00adry inten\u00adsi\u00adve workloads such as high-per\u00adfor\u00admance data\u00adba\u00adses, dis\u00adtri\u00adbu\u00adted in-memo\u00adry caches, in-memo\u00adry data\u00adba\u00adses, and big data ana\u00adly\u00adtics. Both M5ad and R5ad will also be bene\u00adfi\u00adci\u00adal for appli\u00adca\u00adti\u00adons that need tem\u00adpo\u00adra\u00adry sto\u00adrage of data for scratch space, tem\u00adpo\u00adra\u00adry files, and caches.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
