AMD<\/span><\/a> (NYSE<\/span>: AMD<\/span>), buil\u00adding on its lea\u00adder\u00adship in gra\u00adphics and gam\u00ading, announ\u00adced its 2014 mobi\u00adle Acce\u00adle\u00adra\u00adted Pro\u00adces\u00adsing Unit (APU<\/span>) pro\u00adduct road\u00admap at the APU13<\/span> Deve\u00adlo\u00adper Con\u00adfe\u00adrence <\/a>today. Rai\u00adsing the per\u00adfor\u00admance bar across fan\u00adless tablets, 2\u2011in-1s and ultrath\u00adin note\u00adbooks, the APUs code\u00adna\u00admed \u201cMul\u00adlins\u201d and \u201cBee\u00adma\u201d are pro\u00adjec\u00adted to deli\u00adver more than 2x the per\u00adfor\u00admance-per-watt of the pre\u00advious gene\u00adra\u00adti\u00adon1, 2<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

The latest AMD<\/span> APUs also sup\u00adport Micro\u00adsoft Instant\u00adGo for fas\u00adter wake times and to ensu\u00adre data such as email actively refresh in stand\u00adby. Both new pro\u00adces\u00adsor fami\u00adlies are also the first to inte\u00adgra\u00adte an AMD-deve\u00adlo\u00adped plat\u00adform secu\u00adri\u00adty pro\u00adces\u00adsor based on the ARM<\/span>\u00ae Cortex\u00ae-A5 fea\u00adturing ARM<\/span> Trust\u00adZo\u00adne\u00ae tech\u00adno\u00adlo\u00adgy for enhan\u00adced data secu\u00adri\u00adty. The new low-power APUs join the pre\u00advious\u00adly dis\u00adc\u00adlo\u00adsed high-per\u00adfor\u00admance note\u00adbook APU<\/span>, code\u00adna\u00admed \u201cKaveri,\u201d in AMD<\/span>\u2019s 2014 mobi\u00adle lineup.<\/p>\n

Both new pro\u00adces\u00adsor fami\u00adlies offer two or four \u201cPuma\u201d CPU<\/span> cores and AMD<\/span> Rade\u00adon\u2122 gra\u00adphics on a 28nm sys\u00adtem-on-chip (SoC). The new pro\u00adces\u00adsors are plan\u00adned to launch in the first half of next year and will be demons\u00adtra\u00adted at CES<\/span> 2014 <\/a>as part of a full suite of AMD<\/span> products.<\/p>\n
