Fol\u00adlo\u00adwing com\u00adple\u00adti\u00adon of the\u00adse agree\u00adments, Intel will have repurcha\u00adsed a total of appro\u00adxi\u00adm\u00adate\u00adly $17.6 bil\u00adli\u00adon in shares as part of the plan\u00adned $20 bil\u00adli\u00adon share repurcha\u00adses announ\u00adced in Octo\u00adber 2019.<\/p>\n

Under the terms of the ASR<\/span> agree\u00adments, Intel will recei\u00adve an initi\u00adal share deli\u00advery of appro\u00adxi\u00adm\u00adate\u00adly 166 mil\u00adli\u00adon shares, with the final sett\u00adle\u00adment sche\u00addu\u00adled to occur by the end of 2020. The final num\u00adber of shares to be repurcha\u00adsed by Intel will be based on the volu\u00adme-weigh\u00adted avera\u00adge stock pri\u00adce of Intel\u2019s com\u00admon stock during the term of the agree\u00adments, less a dis\u00adcount and sub\u00adject to adjustments.<\/p>\n

Intel is fun\u00adding the share repurcha\u00adses under the ASR<\/span> agree\u00adments with exis\u00adting cash resour\u00adces. Strong ope\u00adra\u00adting results in the first half of 2020 have con\u00adtri\u00adbu\u00adted to a healt\u00adhy liqui\u00addi\u00adty balan\u00adce, which gives Intel the abili\u00adty to invest in the busi\u00adness during a peri\u00adod of eco\u00adno\u00admic uncer\u00adtain\u00adty while also retur\u00adning capi\u00adtal to stock\u00adhol\u00adders through divi\u00addends and the\u00adse share repurcha\u00adses.
