In 2019, the CXL<\/span>\u2122 Con\u00adsor\u00adti\u00adum laun\u00adched to deli\u00adver Com\u00adpu\u00adte Express Link\u2122 (CXL<\/span>\u2122), an indus\u00adtry-sup\u00adport\u00aded cache-coher\u00adent inter\u00adcon\u00adnect desi\u00adgned for pro\u00adces\u00adsors, memo\u00adry expan\u00adsi\u00adon, and acce\u00adle\u00adra\u00adtors. The CXL<\/span> Con\u00adsor\u00adti\u00adum and the Gen\u2011Z Con\u00adsor\u00adti\u00adum estab\u00adlished a joint memo\u00adran\u00addum of under\u00adstan\u00adding (MOU<\/span>)<\/a> pro\u00advi\u00adding an oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adty for col\u00adla\u00adbo\u00adra\u00adti\u00adon to defi\u00adne bridging bet\u00adween the pro\u00adto\u00adcols. This took the form of a joint working group that encou\u00adra\u00adged crea\u00adti\u00advi\u00adty and inno\u00adva\u00adti\u00adon bet\u00adween the two orga\u00adniza\u00adti\u00adons toward the bet\u00adter\u00adment of the indus\u00adtry as a whole. <\/p>\n

Loo\u00adking to the future, the CXL<\/span> Con\u00adsor\u00adti\u00adum and Gen\u2011Z Con\u00adsor\u00adti\u00adum have iden\u00adti\u00adfied syn\u00ader\u00adgies bet\u00adween the two con\u00adsor\u00adtia that resul\u00adted in the sig\u00adning of a Let\u00adter of Intent which, if pas\u00adsed and agreed upon by all par\u00adties, would trans\u00adfer the Gen\u2011Z Spe\u00adci\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adti\u00adons and all Gen\u2011Z assets to the CXL<\/span> Consortium.<\/p>\n

The intent of both orga\u00adniza\u00adti\u00adons is to focus indus\u00adtry efforts rela\u00adted to the deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment of a memo\u00adry coher\u00adent inter\u00adface under the CXL<\/span> Con\u00adsor\u00adti\u00adum with CXL<\/span> as the sole indus\u00adtry stan\u00addard moving for\u00adward. This shift will help stream\u00adli\u00adne the tech\u00adno\u00adlo\u00adgy deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment under a sin\u00adgle, laser-focu\u00adsed orga\u00adniza\u00adti\u00adon. Mem\u00adber com\u00adpa\u00adnies will be able to dedi\u00adca\u00adte resour\u00adces to one indus\u00adtry orga\u00adniza\u00adti\u00adon and eli\u00admi\u00adna\u00adte the risk of dupli\u00adca\u00adted efforts. <\/p>\n
