The latest pro\u00adject of Deut\u00adsche Bahn and <span class=\"caps\">MEN<\/span>, for exam\u00adp\u00adle, uses a box <span class=\"caps\">PC<\/span> for pre\u00adcis\u00ade\u00adly posi\u00adtio\u00adning a&nbsp;train.<\/p>\n<h2>Exact Positioning for Efficient Track&nbsp;Usage<\/h2>\n<p>The box <span class=\"caps\">PC<\/span> con\u00adtrols all func\u00adtions requi\u00adred for the exact posi\u00adtio\u00adning of a train on the rail\u00adway net\u00adwork of Deut\u00adsche&nbsp;Bahn.<\/p>\n<p>For this, the box <span class=\"caps\">PC<\/span>, which is equip\u00adped with two anten\u00adnas, recei\u00adves <span class=\"caps\">GPS<\/span> data sent from seve\u00adral satel\u00adli\u00adtes and for\u00adwards them to the con\u00adtrol cen\u00adter via <span class=\"caps\">UMTS<\/span>, whe\u00adre the posi\u00adti\u00adon and the cur\u00adrent speed are cal\u00adcu\u00adla\u00adted. Equip\u00adped with an odo\u00adme\u00adter, the sys\u00adtem sup\u00adports dead recko\u00adning func\u00adtion\u00ada\u00adli\u00adty which ensu\u00adres that the exact posi\u00adti\u00adon of a vehic\u00adle can be iden\u00adti\u00adfied, even if the satel\u00adli\u00adte signal is inter\u00adrupt\u00aded, for exam\u00adp\u00adle while dri\u00adving through a tunnel.<\/p>\n<p>The exact posi\u00adtio\u00adning down to the track offers cru\u00adcial advan\u00adta\u00adges regar\u00adding track uti\u00adliza\u00adti\u00adon, wai\u00adting times and power con\u00adsump\u00adti\u00adon.
