BEAVERTON<\/span>, Ore. <\/b>\u2013 March 18, 2014 \u2013 <\/b>Today the USB<\/span> Imple\u00adment\u00aders Forum (USB-IF<\/span>) announ\u00adced the com\u00adple\u00adti\u00adon of the Media Agno\u00adstic (MA<\/span>) USB<\/span> v1.0 spe\u00adci\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adti\u00adon. This spe\u00adci\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adti\u00adon is now available for down\u00adload on the USB-IF<\/span><\/a> website.<\/p>\n

The MA-USB<\/span> spe\u00adci\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adti\u00adon is desi\u00adgned to enable devices to achie\u00adve wire\u00adless giga\u00adbit trans\u00adfer rates while lever\u00adaging exis\u00adting USB<\/span> infra\u00adstruc\u00adtu\u00adre. The spe\u00adci\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adti\u00adon allows wire\u00adless devices and docking sta\u00adti\u00adons to com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adca\u00adte over the USB<\/span> pro\u00adto\u00adcol, wit\u00adhout the need for a phy\u00adsi\u00adcal USB<\/span> con\u00adnec\u00adtion. MA-USB<\/span> sup\u00adports mul\u00adti\u00adple media types, inclu\u00adding Wi-Fi\u00ae<\/sup> ope\u00adra\u00adting in 2.4 and 5 Ghz; WiGig ope\u00adra\u00adting in 60Ghz; WiMe\u00addia UWB<\/span> radi\u00ados ope\u00adra\u00adting bet\u00adween 3.1\u201310.6Ghz, and other exis\u00adting or new wired or wire\u00adless media types that want to use the USB<\/span> pro\u00adto\u00adcol as the trans\u00adport.
