Hab das Board auch und bin als Non Oc'er sehr zufrieden damit. Das es fürs Oc'en net gut ist mag seien, aber es ist stabil und recht flott, ausserdem hat es nette Extras.

Ich habe mir Geil Speicher PC3500 CL2-3-3 Ultra-433 2 x 512 MB gegönnt, weil ich mit dem Speicher nicht so ganz glücklich war.
Klar ist auf jeden Fall, daß Grafik on Board das MB ausbremst. In jedem Fall eine leistungsfähige Grafikkarte gönnen!

Hab das K7N2G-L verbaut.
Sonstige Komponenten:
XP2100+ (T-Bred)
Seagate Barracuda ATA V 80GB

Mainboard lief auf Anhieb, aber ein externes DSL-Modem funktionierte nicht am Onboard-LAN; nach Einbau einer Netzwerkkarte war das Problem gelöst. Seltsam ist, das der Onboard-LAN in Verbindung mit anderen PC´s funktionierte, kaputt kann er also nicht sein.
Ein anderes Problem tauchte nach fast eine Jahr Betrieb auf (ohne Hardware/Softwareänderungen). Plötzlich lahmte der PC, verschiedene Aktionen konnten nicht mehr ausgeführt werden. Ständige Hänger, kein Zugriff auch z.B. Dateisuche. Hab dann festgestellt, das im Gerätemanager unter „Hauptplatinenressourcen“ ein „!“ war. Treiberneuinstallation brachte nix, also mal ne Ersatzplatte ausgepackt und Win neu installt. Da war alles ok, also könnte es an Windows liegen.
Auf der Rechnerplatte hab ich dann mal XP komplett neu installt, selber Fehler. Dann mal Bios-Update gemacht, da war das Problem weg. Warum dieser Fehler nicht früher aufgetaucht ist, kann ich nicht sagen.
Was mir wieder mal aufgefallen ist (selbes Problem mit vielen MSI-Boards von Apollo 100 bis i845E, also kein Fehler des nForce2): USB-Probleme. Wenn ich eine externe Festplatte anschließe und auf diese Daten ziehe, verschwindet diese, wenn ich den PC anderweitig belaste. Muß dann die Festplatte aus/einschalten, damit sie wieder erkannt wird.
Was die vielzitierten, angeblich nForce2-typischen IDE-Probleme angeht, die gab´s hier nicht. DVD-Rom und Brenner laufen problemlos im UDMA-Modus, Brennabbrüche oder sonstige Fehler sind nicht vorhanden.
Abgesehen von diesen Problemen ein gutes Board, schnell und stabil und weitgehend problemlos. Zudem zum Kaufzeitpunkt eines der wenigen Boards mit IGP, dazu preislich ok.

Ich wollte das Board für meinen Fileserver nehmen, leider musste ich feststellen das es total ungeeignet ist, da es ein hoch penetrantes Geräusch (phieben) verursacht, so dass man es längere Zeit garnicht aushält den Rechner zu betreiben. Andere scheinen selbiges Probleme zu kennen, aber ich find es untere Schublad so ein lautes Mainboard, das Passiv gekühlt ist...zu bringen.

Ich habe das Mainboard nun mittlerweile seit ein paar Jahren und ich bin sehr zufrieden. Allerdings weist es doch ein paar Macken auf: Der aktive Kühler der Northbridge (Lüfter) fing nach einer Weile an zu lärmen, allerdings verschwindet das Geräusch nach kurzer Zeit. Die zusätzliche Blende für die weiteren Audio-Ausgänge lässt sich nur sehr kompliziert installieren, da die Plastikabdeckung zu groß ist und auf Elkos oder anderen Hindernissen auf dem Board selbst anstösst.
Ärgerlich war für mich die Tatsache, dass ich das Mainboard auch wegen seiner damals beworbenen Bluetooth-Fähigkeiten erworben habe, diese waren allerdings (wie sich erst später herausstellte) nur mit einem extrem teuren Adapter nutzbar. Kurze Zeit später verschwand der Hinweis auf Bluetooth aus allen Beschreibungen. Der neue Lüfter für die Northbridge, den ich von MSI erhalten sollte, hat mich nie erreicht.
Dennoch: das Mainboard läuft seit dem Einbau äußerst stabil (Athon XP 2600+ 333, kein Marken-RAM) und wird dies wohl auch noch eine Weile tun. Die integrierte Grafik war damals besser als meine GeForce2 MX, weswegen ich mich für dieses Board entschied. Mittlerweile hat eine AGP-Grafikkarte (ATi) die Aufgaben der integrierten übernommen. Heute würde ich wohl eher auf ein anderes Mainboard setzen.

ich habe dieses Board auch schon seit geraumer Zeit im absolut problemlosen Einsatz, möchte nun aber doch mal die onBoard-Grafik durch eine richtige Grafikkarte ersetzen.
Kann mir jemand eine passive oder zumindest sehr leise Karte empfehlen, die für gelegentliche Spiele ausreicht, im Budget bis ca. 100€ liegt und mit dem Board gut harmoniert?
