Hallo,
ich habe das K8N in einem Kompletrechner erworben ,einzeln hätte ich es mir nicht gekauft ich wollte eines mit VIA Chipsatz aber der Preis war halt so günstig.
Nach dem auspacken Zuhause und den ersten Tests habe ich dann meinen DVD Brenner von BENQ
eingebaut. In Verbindung mit diesen Brenner ist das MB nicht bereit irgendwelche Lebenszeichen von sich zu geben. Der Support von Gigabyte wollte oder konnte mir nicht helfen, laut Support ist das IDE-Kabel oder das Laufwerk schuld. Komischerweise funktionieren beide Komponenten in Verbindung mit verschiedenen anderen MB. Der DVD Brenner ist jetzt im zweit PC.
Die Stabilität im betrieb war mit einer ATI 9600PRO von Herkules Grauenvoll in 3D-Spielen ständige und nachvollziehbare abstürze ( Getestet mit allen verfügbaren Treibern für die ATI)
Nun gut auch die 9600PRO ist jetzt im Zweitrechner mit einer 5900XT geht's auf einmal stabil.
Noch mehr Instabilität habe ich einen Speicherriegel von TWINMOS zu verdanken ( soll sein PC400 geht aber nur Stabil als PC333).
Mein Fazit Finger weg von dem K8N.
War mein erstes MB von Gigabyte und sicher auch mein letztes.
