Lange hat es ja nicht gedauert, bis der neue Multiplikator-Overclocking Schutz von AMDs neuer K8-Familie geknackt wurde. Während bereits für den Athlon 64 FX etliche BIOS-Versionen im Internet herumgeistern, mit denen die frei Wahl des Multiplikators im Verhältnis zum Referenztakt kein Problem mehr ist, bietet das neue CrystalCPUID der Version 2.0.11.20 das Multiplikator-Tuning sogar unter Windows an; sowohl für den Mobile Athlon XP, als auch für den Athlon 64.
