RedHat 9.0 Rpm Installation Problem
If you install the powervr-2.00.20-516.src.rpm package on a RedHat 9.0 system, following the installation instructions in the Readme, (under the "Rpm based system with custom kernel" heading) you will see the error message below at the end of the installation process.
RPM build errors: Could not open %files file /usr/src/redhat/BUILD/${RPM_PACKAGE_NAME}-${RPM_PACKAGE_VERSION}-${RPM_PACKAGE_RELEASE}/debugfiles.list: No such file or directory
This is caused by RedHat 9.0 using rpm 4.2 and the PowerVR-2.00.20-516.src.rpm package using rpm 4.1.
If you are attempting to install the KYRO drivers on a RedHat 9.0 Linux system with the original vendor supplied kernel, you should follow the Readme section for "SuSE, Red Hat or Mandrake with vendor kernels". This will guide you through the install process for the powervr-2.00.20-516.rh90.[i386,i686,athlon].rpm package.
If you are attempting to install on a RedHat 9.0 Linux system with a modified kernel you can install the powervr-2.00.20-516.tgz package by following the installation instructions under the "Non-rpm based system" heading in the Readme.
