Hallo
ich habe am letzten Samstag dieses Mainboard verbaut hier meine Eindrücke dazu.
Meine Hardware
Athlon 64 3200+ Newcastle boxed (Kühler gegen Arctic Cooler getauscht)
2x 512MB DDR TakeMS CL 2.5
Radeon 9800NP
Soundblaster Live 5.1
Samsung 1203N 120GB Festplatte
Thoshiba DVD
Ernermax EG365V Netzteil
Floppy
Nachdem ich alles eingebaut hatte also der spannende Moment des ersten Einschalten. Kein Problem es läuft. Danach das Betriebssytem installiert (Win Xp SR1) und die Treiber von der Cd (sind alle Aktuell). Soweit so gut. Danach Directx 9b installiert und dann Treiber für Grafikkarte und Soundkarte alles ok.
Danach erste Tests mit Benchmarks erster Eindruck ist nicht so toll. Also rann ans Bios. Einstellung für Speicher auf 400Mhz umgestellt und noch mal getestet Performance wird besser aber immer noch nicht gut für A64.
Also Flux ins Internet und nach einem neuen Bios gesucht. Ist bei Auslieferung Version 1.1 habe im Netz Version 1.2 gefunden diese habe ich dann geflasht. Nach dem Reset dann erst mal Panik System bootet(piept und Laufwerke werden angesprochen)aber der Bildschirm bleibt Schwarz. Habe dann PCI Grafikkarte ins System gesteckt und siehe da ein Bild. Im Bios First Display Init auf AGP umgestellt und Reboot danach funktioniert wieder alles.
Nachdem ich denn Speicher wieder auf 400 MHZ eingestellt hatte also die nächsten Tests zur Performance. Man muß sagen ich war schwer entäuscht Speicherperformance sackte von 2700MB/s auf unter 1300MB/s ab(Sisoft). Die Grafikleistung bei 3D-Mark 2001SE sackte von 16800 Punkten auf 12800Punkte ab.
Also rann ans Bios nur leider hat man da nicht viele Möglichkeiten HT dann von Auto auf 800 Mhz Speicher Latenz in allen Versionen ausprobiert und getestet aber leider nur sehr geringe Unterschiede zu den oben genannten Werten. Nun danach habe ich Bios Version 1.1 zurückgeflasht damit dann wieder alles beim Alten. Weitere Test mit Prime hat das System ohne Probleme durchlaufen. Probleme habe ich nur beim Softreset dann werden hin und wieder meine USB Mouse und Tastatur nicht erkannt. Das kann aber auch an meinem alten USB Hub liegen.
Fazit
Das Board habe ich mir gekauft nachdem ich den Test auf

gelesen hatte und nach denen ist das Board ja mehr als ok ich für meinen Teil muß sagen das der Test nicht ganz meinen Erfahrungen entspricht.
Ansonsten ist das Board in der von mir getesten Version mit Bios 1.1 mit meiner Hardware sehr stabil nur nicht das schnellste. Habe am Samstag dann noch cirka 4 Stunden UT2004 im Lan gezockt und hatte keine Probleme. Wenn Asrock die Probleme mit dem Bios und der Performance in den Griff kriegt ist das Board bestimmt nicht schlecht da ja die Option zum Umsteigen auf Sockel 939 schon recht nett ist. Ansonsten muß man halt damit Leben das nur 3 PCI Slots vorhanden sind.

Von Asrock kam gestern das neue Bios in der Revision 1.3 nachdem flashen also die Performance überprüft und siehe da die Benchmarkwerte stiegen auf die für Athlon 64 bekannten Werte. Also kann ich von meiner Seite sagen das dieses Board uneingeschränkt Empfehlenswert ist.

Da das Mainboard nicht in der Lage ist die Newcastle CPU`s mit 1,1 Volt bei 1Ghz zu beschicken würde ich das als großes Minus hinstellen. Die Cpu läuft dann mit 1,3 Volt. Also auf Werten für den Clawhammer.

Probleme mit dem Speicher hatte ich keinen, weder mit 2*256MB pc2700 Samsung noch mit 1*512MB PC3200 MDT.
Nach meiner Meinung ein sehr solides stabiles Board. Nur für HardcoreOCler nicht geeignet.
