Für den Instant Messaging Client <A HREF="http://gaim.sourceforge.net/" TARGET="b">Gaim</A>, den es als Windows- und Linux-Ausgabe gibt, haben die Entwickler ein neues Bugfix-Update herausgegeben. Die neue Versionsnummer lautet 1.2.1.
Mit Gaim kann man über die Protokolle von MSN Messenger, ICQ, AIM, Yahoo, Jabber und IRC kommunizieren. Das Programm benötigt eine aktuelle Version von <a href="http://www.gtk.org/" TARGET="b">GTK+ (The GIMP Toolkit)</a>. Das vollständige Changelog lautet wie folgt:<UL><FONT SIZE="1"><I>version 1.2.1 (4/3/2005):
- URL escaping now works with UTF-8 text. This may break some old log files.
- Revert to XOR auth for ICQ as the md5 is not fully functional
- Fix bug with going away while in a jabber chat
- MSN bug fixes (Felipe Contreras)
