Kurz vor Weihnachten ist das NF8 bei mir angekommen, das BIOS 1.2 (=aktuellste Version) habe ich gleich als erstes geflasht.
Verwendet wurden folgende Komponenten: Athlon64 3700+, 2x512 MB Corsair PC3500 (BH5-Chips), Zalman CNPS7000A-Cu und die Inno3D GeForce 6800 GT.
Was mir sofort negativ auffiel:
- Ich wollte den Chipsatzkühler gegen den Zalman NB-47J tauschen. Ging aber nicht, weil der dann mit dem NV Silencer 5 meiner Grafikkarte zusammenstößt. Naja, nicht weiter schlimm.
- Im BIOS ist nur maximal 2,8 Volt VDimm wählbar, viel zu wenig um den RAM gut zu übertakten
- Keine Lüftersteuerung im BIOS
- Keine Möglichkeit zum undervolten der CPU
Ich hab dann meine Speicher erstmal wieder auf 2-2-2-10-1T bei 200 MHz und 2,8 V gestellt, so wie sie vorher auch auf dem Abit KV8-Max3 liefen. Dann Windows XP Prof. SP2 neu installiert.
Bei der Installation der Nforce-Treiber 5.10 wird mein Soundchip nicht erkannt. Dieses Problem wurde aber mit den am selben Tag erschienen Soundtreibern 4.57 behoben.
Dann erstmal 3DMark2001SE durchlaufen lassen, so als erste grobe Einschätzung. Passt alles soweit, höchstens eine Nuance langsamer als vorher.
Als nächstes folgte der Prime95-Test. Und was sah ich? Nach wenigen Sekunden ein Fehler. Hui, blöd. Also habe ich mal auf die offiziellen 2-3-3-7 gestellt, bei 2T Command Rate. Dann ein bisschen gespielt. Hm, nach ein paar Stunden kam ein Freeze. Danach lies ich erstmal wieder Prime95 laufen, da kam auch nach ein paar Stunden ein Fehler. Sehr ärgerlich! So ist das Board für mich nicht zu gebrauchen.
Daher mein Fazit: Momentan nicht zu empfehlen. Ein Griff ins Klo, ich bau mir wieder mein altes Board ein.
