ASUS M2R32-MVP - AM2 Mainboard mit ATI Radeon Xpress 3200

Diverse Informationshäppchen kursierten schon eine Weile im Internet. Gestern nun hat ASUS das neue M2R32-MVP für AMDs AM2-Plattform offiziell vorgestellt. Das Mainboard basiert auf ATIs CrossFire Xpress 3200 Chipsatz. Dabei kommt die RD580 Northbridge und ATIs neue SB600 Southbridge (<a href="http://www.planet3dnow.de/cgi-bin/newspub/viewnews.cgi?category=1&id=1144672534">wir berichteten</a>) zum Einsatz. <b>Stack Cool 2</b>
Stack Cool 2 is a fan-less and zero-noise cooling solution offered exclusively by ASUS. It effectively transfers heat generated by the critical components to the other side of the specially designed PCB (printed circuit board) for effective heat dissipation without the noise from high-speed fan rotation.

<b>O.C. Profile &#8211; Store and Load Overclock Settings</b>
The motherboard features O.C. Profile, which allows those who like to push their systems to the limit to conveniently store and load multiple BIOS settings. The BIOS settings can be stored in the CMOS or a separate file, giving users the freedom to also share their overclock settings with others.

<b>Noise Filter &#8211; Clear Audio</b>
The feature detects repetitive and stationary noises (non-voice signals) like computer fans, air conditioners, and other background noises then eliminates them in the incoming audio stream while recording. Hmm, zu Preis und Verfügbarkeit ist aber nichts bekannt, oder? Das Angebot von Isorm.com dürfte ja eher hochspekulativ gewesen sein, daher als Anhaltspunkt für den Preis nicht recht taugen.

So richtig verfügbar ist ja wohl noch gar kein Brett mit der ATI SB600 wie mir scheint. Schade.

angeblich soll das mainboard ab sofort erhältlich sein, zu einem empfohlenen verkaufspreis von 169 euro. so schreibt das zumindest hardwareluxx. da das board aber keinem der großen händler und auch bei keiner preisvergleichsseite gelistet/verfügbar ist, hab ich das erstmal weggelassen.

Ich bin gespannt wie Hupe auf erste Tests. Ich hoffe das es nicht mehr so viele Kinderkrankheiten hat, denn ich würde gern mal einen ATI Chipsatz versuchen.

Nur so mal in den Raum geworfen:
Da ist 'nen Marvel 88E8001 GBit PCI (nicht Express!!) Controller drauf...

BTW: bei DEM Preis wirds schwer für ASUS; aber ev. habens garkein Interesse dieses Board zu verkaufen??
Das MSI K9A liegt ja bei 120€, das ECS KA3-MVP ist auch nicht teurer, bleibt nur noch Epox...

Oder gibts noch jemanden, der sich traut, einen nicht nV Chipsatz zu verbauen??

Aber wenn jetzt die Pressemitteilungen rausgehauen werden (fürs MSI K9A auch), dann dürfte es ja wohl langsam was werden.

Die 169€ würde ich mal nicht so ernst nehmen, der Markt wird das schon ganz schnell anpassen, so daß es verkaufbar ist.

Es gibt noch das Abit AT9 32x (Foto).

Auf jeden Fall die bessere Wahl. 2x GBit Lan vie PCIe, RLC882, 6x SATA, eSATA, 2xPATA.

Und selbst das ist mir keine 170€ wert. Wenn ATI mit seinen Boards mit Nvidia konkurrieren will, dann dürfen die nicht alle in der Preisklasse des nForce 590 SLI liegen.

die S939 RD580/M1575 Platinen kosten ja auch nurnoch 130€ und da ist die SB nicht von ATI (ich geh davon aus das die SB600 etwas günstiger als die Uli SB ist).

Zu dem Preis wirds wohl nix...
Aber schön, daß sich bei den AM2 Boards mal was tut (liegt es an den Bielefeld-Southbridges von ATI und VIA?), denn mit nVidias one-man-Show kann man nicht jeden begeistern...
