Hmm hört sich laut Papier sehr gut an, wenn das ganze noch auf ein mATX Board implementiert wird, dann könnte dies bald in meinem HTPC einen Platz finden.
Hoffe nur das man diesmal von den Bugs verschont bleibt.

ATI wurde ja bekanntlich von AMD aufgekauft und daher ist eine weitere BUS Lizenz für zukünfitge Intel CPUs nicht so leicht zu bekommen von ATI bzw. ATI wird in diese Richtung nicht mehr so viel investieren wollen/können. Siehe auch hier.

Was ist denn ein Foren Troll??
Wo habt ihr eigentlich Probleme mit den Grafiktreibern ?
Ich habe jedenfalls keine.
Ich habe selber eine X1800 XT und die Karte sowie die Treiber funzen perfekt.
Die Sachen sind nun mal nicht für ExtremeOverclocking geeignet und das ist auch nicht ATis Aufgabe dass zu unterstützen, das vergessen wohl einige.
Mir gefallen persönlich die Treiber der ATI besser als die von Nvidia.
Und ich bin kein ATI-Fanboy. In zwei anderen Sys von mir laufen Nvidia Karten.
Die x1800XT verrichtet ihre Arbeit auf einem nForce Board.

Mal im Ernst, vielleicht meint er die Linuxtreiber, über die hört man ja nur Schlechtes. Allerdings ist auch da wohl eine Besserungstendenz zu erkennen.
Die Chipsatztreiber allerdings sind wohl von einem anderen Team, über die hört man im Grunde gar nichts, was eigentlich ein gutes Zeichen ist.

Da ist er also der RS600, dann kann es wohl auch nicht mehr lange dauern bis der RS690, die AMD Version, erscheint.
Rein von der Grafikperformance sollte der Chipsatz ein großer Sprung nach vorne sein. Gegenüber GF6150/GMA950/Xpress1150 sollte schon eine 50% bis 80% Performance Steigerung drin sein.
Ati hat ja im Vorfeld immer von einem X700 Grafikkern gesprochen, würd mich aber wundern wenn das wirklich eine Vollwertige X700 wäre, wahrscheinlich ists ne halbierte (also quasi ne x600).

WIe wäre denn mal "Crossfire" zwischen Onboardgraka und einer eingebauten Highendgraka.
Theoretisch sollte es doch möglich sein das die Onboardkarte die Grafikkarte unterstützt.
Und wenn es nur zusätzliches AA oder AF ist was da berechnet wird.
