Der Hersteller Transcend gibt die Verfügbarkeit von <a href="http://www.transcend.com.tw/pr/ddrpc333_512mb.jpg" TARGET="b">DDR333-Speichermodulen</a> (Bandbreite 2,7 GB/sec) bekannt. Im Hinblick auf kommende Chipsätze (VIA KT333 etc.) und CPUs waren Ankündigungen wie diese auch nur eine Frage der Zeit.

Thus, DDR333 DIMMs have a data transfer rate 2.5 times higher than conventional SDRAM modules, and 25% faster than DDR266 modules. Due to this higher speed, DDR333 DIMMs can enhance overall system performance by more than 10% over systems that use DDR266."</i></ul>

Normalerweise müssten die RAMs problemlos auch ohne Bios-Update in einem KT266A laufen, vorausgesetzt: die Versorgungsspannung wurde nicht geändert - und das nehme ich mal an.
Für RAM braucht man normalerweise nur ein neues Bios, wenn die Organisation der Chips neu ist.
Beim KT266A kann man den vollen Speichertakt wahrscheinlich nur durch Übertakten des kompletten Systems ausschöpfen, da eine asynchrone Taktung im Verhältnis 133 MHz FSB/166 MHz RAM nicht möglich ist.
Für RAM braucht man normalerweise nur ein neues Bios, wenn die Organisation der Chips neu ist.
Beim KT266A kann man den vollen Speichertakt wahrscheinlich nur durch Übertakten des kompletten Systems ausschöpfen, da eine asynchrone Taktung im Verhältnis 133 MHz FSB/166 MHz RAM nicht möglich ist.

Heißt das wenn ich mein System stabil mit einem 166Mhz FSB zum laufen bekommen wäre die voll ausnutzung des Speichers garantiert?
Weil mein System zurzeit stabil auf einen FSB von 153Mhz läuft (mit NoName DDR-Ram, XP 1600+ @ XP 1900+)
Heißt das wenn ich mein System stabil mit einem 166Mhz FSB zum laufen bekommen wäre die voll ausnutzung des Speichers garantiert?
Weil mein System zurzeit stabil auf einen FSB von 153Mhz läuft (mit NoName DDR-Ram, XP 1600+ @ XP 1900+)
