AMD stellt Radeon HD 3450, 3470 und 3650 vor

Die neuen Grafikkarten, die allesamt DirectX 10.1 unterstützen, sollen ihre erfolgreichen Vorgänger der 2400er und 2600er Reihe beerben.

Wie bereits der RV670, der auf der Radeon HD 3850 und 3870 zum Einsatz kommt, sind auch der RV620 (34x0) und der RV635 (3650) in 55nm gefertigt. Die Radeon HD 3650 soll, je nach Version zwischen $79 und $99 kosten, die beiden kleineren Modelle sollen im Bereich von $49-$55 (3450) bzw. $59-$64 (3470) liegen.

Die Quelle kann nicht ganz stimmen, auch wenn da sicher manche Informationen herkommen.

Jedenfalls heißt der 3400-Chip RV620 und nicht RV615. Diese Falschmeldung geistert heute im Web herum, da muss es ein Nest geben. Die AMD-Folien sind es jedenfalls nicht.

Befüll die Tabelle vielleicht gleich noch mit den Daten der 3690er und der 2600XT mit GDDR4. Wenn Du dann auch schon dabei bist, wären die aktuellen Endpreise (so vorhanden) dann auch nicht schlecht

Man würde dann sehen, wie überfüllt das um die €100 Marke ist. Die 3850er z.B. unterbietet ja schon die €120 Marke

Die 1 GB Karte expandiert zudem den PCI(e) Adressraum auf 1,5 GByte.
Da bleiben nur noch 2,5 GB Platz für RAM übrig ... 32 Bit sei Dank.

Im Prinzip sind aber 1GB ja nicht dumm, denn DDR2 RAM ist nicht mehr teuer und in einer 32 Bit Umgebung werden eh kaum mehr als 2 GB Arbeitsspeicher installiert sein. So landen die Texturen wenigstens nicht im knappen Arbeitsspeicher sondern direkt in der Grafikkarte.

Jetzt fehlt nur noch der EMM64-Patch für Grafikkarten und man könnte memory-mapped die GPU-Speicher auf 2GB, 4GB oder mehr aufbohren, während Windows im sicheren 32 Bit = 2GB Hafen bleiben könnte.
Wenn die X2 Grafikkarten dann noch schnelle local frame Buffer erhalten und langsamere shared DRAM erhalten sicherlich auch sinnvoll.
Es gibt also Ansatz-Möglichkeiten das beliebte 32 Bit OS zu retten

Befüll die Tabelle vielleicht gleich noch mit den Daten der 3690er und der 2600XT mit GDDR4. Wenn Du dann auch schon dabei bist, wären die aktuellen Endpreise (so vorhanden) dann auch nicht schlecht

Merke: Vergiß die 34xx

Was ich da einfach nicht raffe: Meine "Gotthabsieseelig" Hercules Terminator Beast von 97 oder 98 mit ganzen 8MB Ram und Savage3D Chipsatz hatte schon ein 64-Bit Speicherinterface. Das war schon damals eine ganz gewaltige Bremse im Gegensatz zur Riva TNT mit 128 Bit.

Wie schafft man es, heute noch solche Krücken auf den Markt zu bringen? Als Chipsatzgrafik mags ja noch ok sein, aber als diskrete Grafikkarte

Ist ein 128-Bit Interface so viel teurer? Oder braucht das so viel mehr Strom?

Geht mir einfach nicht in den Kopf *noahnung*

@Bob Rooney: Je mehr Bits für die Speicheranbindung benötigt werden, desto aufwändiger werden die PCBs. Deshalb macht es mehr Sinn lieber eine schmalere Anbindung mit Speicher mit mehr Takt zu verbauen wie man am Beispiel der 3470 gegenüber der 3650 DDR2 sieht.

@dragon_75: Das ist wohl ein Schreibfehler, gemeint wird die 3670 sein.

Sind die Preise der Vorgänger (HD 2400er & HD2600er) gesenkt worden oder sind die neuen GPUs (3400er & 3600er) teurer angesetzt worden a la Passive Preissteigerung

Hi,

mich würde der Stromverbrauch der Karten bei ruhendem Desktop und bei DVD-Wiedergabe interessieren!
Ab welchem Modell wird es denn zwei digitale Schnittstellen und ein S-Video bzw. Komponenten Ausgang geben? Genau so eine Karte könnte ich gebrauchen mit möglichst wenig Verbrauch!

Werden die Karten im Idle weniger verbrauchen als die 2400er Serie? Die neuen Karten haben doch auch diese neue Technik zum Verbrauch senken, oder?

Für den Preis ist sind die 2600 XTs mit GDDR4 immernoch unschlagbar ... sogar bei alternate kosten die nur €79. Naja, sind wohl Abverkaufspreise, solange Vorrat

Die derzeitgen Preis sind ja noch Vorab-Preise, deshalb habe ich die UVP genommen, da sich sonst zuviel in den nächsten Tagen ändern wird. Vllt. mach ich die Tage nochmal einen Vergleich, wenn die Karten verfügbar sind und die Preise sich eingependelt haben.

Der Preis der 2600XT ist schon sehr günstig, krank aber an der relativ schwachen Shader-Leistung, die 3850 bietet immerhin fast die dreifache...

Jo klar .. gegen die 3850er .. keine Chance .. da muss die 3690er ran.
