Ich würde gerne s.u. PC auf min 1GB/max 2GB aufrüsten.
Kann mir jemand sagen, welche Speichermodule dafür taugen?
DDR-RAM ist klar. Aber Dual Cannel mit DDR400 oder DDR333 oder wie?
Das Manual macht dazu auch keine Freude:
Lt. Manual angeblich verträgt das Board bis zu 3GB!
Lt. Manual FSB 400/2333/266/200 und PC3200/2700/2100/1600.
Welches ist jetzt aber die/der optimal DDR-RAM dafür ...?

Das Board kann kein DualChannel (Nur der nForce2 400 Ultra kann das), den Speicher solltest du 1:1 zum FSB laufen lassen, sprich DDR-400 und achte auf Markenspeicher, das kann einem jede Menge Ärger ersparen.

Da Du ja eine CPU mit 400 MHz FSB hast, solltest Du auch DDR400 (PC3200)-RAM einsetzen.

Da Du ja eine CPU mit 400 MHz FSB hast, solltest Du auch DDR400 (PC3200)-RAM einsetzen.

Dazu doch noch eine Frage:
Das Manual sagt max 3GB, aber aus dem Board lese ich mit "SIW" Maximum Capacity 1536 MBytes. Hmmm ...
Und im Manual steht einheitliche speed rate der Memory-Bausteine beachten. Im PC steckt 512/200, wenn ich jetzt mit 1024/400 "aufrüste", dann gibt das möglicherweise ein Problem. Hmmm ...
Dazu habe ich folgende Optionen überlegt:
A: 512/200 entfernen und 1x 1024/400 oder 1x 512/400 und 1x 1024/400 oder 2x 1024/400 einbauen?
B: 512/200 nicht entfernen und 2x 512/200 oder 2x 512/400 oder 1x 1024/200 oder 1x 1024/400 ergänzen?
was empfiehlst Du? Merci!

Du schmeißt da einiges durcheinander. Du hast 512MB PC3200er RAMs drin, d.h. 200MHz DDR (="400MHz"). Du rüstest also NICHT von 200 auf 400 auf! Da Du kein Dual-Channel-Board hast, kannst Du alle Kombinationen einbauen, Hauptsache es ist PC3200. Ich empfehle natürlich Markenspeicher.
