ATI hat sein CATALYST Grafikkarten- und Chipsatz-Treiberpaket in der Version 9.12 für Windows XP, Vista und 7 zum Download freigegeben. Voraussetzung für das CATALYST Control Center ist unter Windows XP ein installiertes Microsoft .NET Framework. Eine aktuelle Version des .NET Framework kann man über die Microsoft Windows Update Seite beziehen.

Es gibt ihn auch für Linux (warum nehmt ihr den Linux-Catalyst eigentlich nicht mit in die News, sondern bastelt jedes mal einen eigenen Beitrag?).

Jetzt meldet sich der Catalyst auch endlich mit "OpenGL version string: 3.2.9232" ;D

Wie schon bei 9.11 funktionierte der Update des Treibers nicht wirklich mit meiner 4870x2. Nach Installation des Bildschirmtreibers blieb der Bildschirm schwarz (Win7 x64).

Ansonsten mal schauen, wie es sich verhält...

Also AF funktioniert wieder, Witcher auch, der Borderlands Texturbug ist auch weg, Vantage ist mit mehr Punkten "gesegnet" und Dirt 2 läuft gefühlt auch flinker.
 
Es gibt ihn auch für Linux (warum nehmt ihr den Linux-Catalyst eigentlich nicht mit in die News, sondern bastelt jedes mal einen eigenen Beitrag?).
Wahrscheinlich, weil es einfach ein komplett anderer Treiber ist, der nur aus Marketinggründen genauso heißt.
 
Könnte bitte jemand mal checken (z.B. mit Unigine Heaven), ob bei ihm unter Windows 7 mit einer HD5xxx Grafikkarte und diesem Treiber Tesselation funktioniert? Danke.

Habe seit gestern HD5770 unter Windows7 RC1 mit ATI Catalyst 9.12 und DX Update vom August, aber kein DX11 bei der Dirt 2 Demo und kein Tesselation unter Unigine Heaven, obwohl ich beim Benchmark-Start auswähle. Außerdem funtkioniert auch die VSynch Einstellung nicht, d.h. trotz "Immer an" im CCC habe ich kein VSync in Borderlands.

Wäre cool, wenn mir das jemand bestätigen könnte (oder Gegenteil), dann könnte ich mich weiter auf die Suche nach dem schuldigen Part begeben.

Hotfix that resolves the mouse being enlarged under Windows® 7, improves performance of OpenGL games, Provides CrossFireX™ support for Eyefinity & Provides support for OpenCL



Problem Description:

· Performance drop is observed with a supported ATI CrossFireX™ configuration when using the thermal scope while playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare

· Performance drop during the opening cinematic of Resident Evil 5

· Wheelman freezes while loading the game menu and can't play further

· The desktop mouse cursor becomes enlarged at random while using Windows 7

· Flashing in various OpenGL titles – City of Heroes, Enemy Territories: Quake Wars, Riddick

· Heaven benchmark (DirectX 9 mode) – Grass flickers and white boarders observed around the edges

· DTS-HD and Dolby True-HD not working properly with certain receivers while using HDMI connection on ATI Radeon™ HD 5000 Series



Highlights of the ATI Catalyst™ 9.12 Hotfix release include:

1. Support for the OpenCL™ GPU component of the ATI Stream SDK v2.0

§ The ATI Catalyst™ 9.12 Hotfix release provides full support for GPU acceleration of OpenCL when used in conjunction with the ATI Stream™ SDK v2.0.

This feature is supported on the following Products:

3. Support for DisplayPort audio

§ The ATI Catalyst™ 9.12 Hotfix release adds support for DisplayPort audio for DisplayPort panels

Mit aktivem Catalyst A.I. schmiert mir nach relativ kurzer Zeit SeriusSam HD mitsammt dem kompletten Rechner ab, allerdings nicht mehr ganz so schnell wie beim 9.11er.
In dem Rechner steckt eine HD 3870 X2 und wird mit Windows 7 Professional (64Bit) betrieben.

Nach meinem Empfinden JA. Circa 20 - 25 Prozent Last auf einem Kern, die anderen Kerne trödeln vor sich hin.

Auch die allgemeinen HD-Eigenschaften haben sich gebessert. Kein roter Querstreifen bei HD-Video. Das war beim Novembertreiber leider der Fall. Ich habe letzteres zwar nicht auf meiner HD 3300 ausprobiert, aber das war im vorherigen Novembertreiber egal, ob nun HD 4770, oder 3300.

Hab Flash Version 10,0,42,34 installiert. Bei meiner HD 3200 mit Catalyst 9.12 gehts nicht...

Mit 9.11 habe ich jetzt zum ersten mal Tesselation (und ja, man sieht den Unterschied in Unigine wirklich gut, besonders an Dachziegeln IMHO), weder mit 9.12 noch 9.12 Hotfix hatte ich Tesselation.

Dirt 2 Demo auf HD5770 (1680x1050, 2*AA, 4*AF, VSynch on) mit alles auf maximal Details außer Zuschauer läuft flüssig und die Effekte sind super. Macht richtig Spass, werde mir das Spiel kaufen, auch wenn die Menüführung etwas durcheinander ist.

Werde den 10.1 testen, sobald der verfügbar ist, bis dahin bleib ich beim 9.11.

Peinlich. Ja, also das ist also die Beta von der alle sprechen?

Wie jung ist die und wie viele Bugs hat das Teil? :o Installiere ungerne so Betazeugs. Außerdem: wie lange dauerts noch bis 10.1 fertig ist?

Was befürchtest du denn, wenn du eine Beta von Flash 10.1 Beta 2 installierst? Geplatzte Elkos und durchgebrannte Prozessoren?

Das wird nicht der Fall sein. Dafür bekommst du verbesserte Unterstützung von Video- und Flash-Beschleunigung per Grafikkarte. Mit der ersten Beta war das meiner Meinung nach noch nicht so überzeugend gelöst. Jetzt scheints etwas besser bei mir zu klappen (HD 4770).

Eine Beta ist eine Beta weil das Produkt nicht fertig ist. Ich befürchte da nichts, hab nur einfach kein Bock auf Probleme mit halbfertiger Software die auch noch von Adobe höchstpersönlich stammt.
 
Warum gibt es für die Windows-Versionen Vista und 7 eigentlich keinen HDMI-Treiber?

Unter "Optional Downloads" gibt es nur für Windows XP und Windows XP Professional x64 Edition einen entsprechenden Treiber (9-12_xp32-64_hdmiaudio.exe). Bei den Nachfolgern sind unter "Optional Downloads" jeweils nur Avivo und HydraVision zu finden. Bin ich bei Vista und 7 auf den HDMI-Treiber von Realtek angewiesen oder ist der HDMI-Treiber bei Vista und 7 in einem anderen AMD-Treiberpaket bereits mit enthalten?

Bin ich bei Vista und 7 auf den HDMI-Treiber von Realtek angewiesen oder ist der HDMI-Treiber bei Vista und 7 in einem anderen AMD-Treiberpaket bereits mit enthalten?
Ich gehe mal davon aus, dass das HDMI-Protokoll ganz tief im Inneren von Vista und Windows7 verdongelt schlummert ... gleich neben dem DRM-Rechtemanagement und rechts davon, etwas weiter unten gleich noch der tolle HDCP-Kopierschutz residiert ;D
