Foobar2000 - ein Freeware-Audio-Player für Windows - nähert sich der Fertigstellung in der Version 1.0, da die aktuelle und insgesamt sechste Beta-Version aller Voraussicht nach auch die letzte sein wird.
Foobar2000 unterstützt im Standard die Audio-Formate MP3, MP4, AAC, CD Audio, WMA, Vorbis, FLAC, WavPack, WAV, AIFF, Musepack, Speex, AU und SND. Zusätzliche Formate werden durch die Installation von Plugins unterstützt.
<strong>Liste der Änderungen in der Beta 6:</strong>
<blockquote> * Bug fixed: Inconsistent behaviors of the "Colors and Fonts" preferences page when importing themes or using the "Quick Appearance Setup" dialog.
* Shoutcast stream titles are now parsed as UTF-8, allowing Unicode characters.
* Improved compatibility with (unofficial?) FLAC multichannel specification.
* Internal clean-ups and fixes.</blockquote>
