Realtek hat mit der Version 2.41 ein neues Treiberpaket für seine High Definition Audio-Codecs veröffentlicht. HDA-Soundchips aus Realteks ALC88x Serie sind z.B. auf vielen AM2, aktuellen AM2+ und neuen AM3 Mainboards anzutreffen und bieten 8-Kanal High Definition Sound. Neu ist u.a. die Unterstützung des ALC680.

Was verbessert Realtek denn ständig an den Treiber?

Ich hatte noch nie Probleme damit, wundere mich nur, warum alle 2 Wochen ne neue Version rauskommt!

Die "Customizations" sind in erster Linie Anpassung an neu erschienene Mainboards mit Realtek HDA Codec.

Sie bewirken, dass das richtige Herstellerlogo und -design verwendet wird und die Anordnung der Ports auf dem ATX Backpanel korrekt nachgebildet ist.
