Das Folding@home-Team um Prof. Vijay Pande hat Version 6.29 seines SMP-Clients herausgebracht. Folding@home ist ein Distributed Computing Projekt, das die Faltung von Proteinen simuliert und somit Grundlagenforschung für viele Krankheiten wie Krebs, Influenza, Alzheimer oder Parkinson betreibt. Das Projekt konnte in den letzten zehn Jahren einige Erfolge verbuchen, die man u.a. in zahlreichen veröffentlichten <a href="http://folding.stanford.edu/English/Papers" target="b">Papers</a> nachlasen kann.
Die neue Version behebt einen Fehler mit der Option <i>-bigadv</i> und ist grunsätzlich auf die kommenden SMP2 Cores vorbereitet.
Wer gern die Rechenleistung seines PCs für die Wissenschaft zur Verfügung stellen möchte aber nicht weiß wie, ist bei uns im <a href="http://www.planet3dnow.de/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=88">Forum</a> herzlich willkommen seine Fragen diesbezüglich zu stellen.

Man muss also immer noch diese MPICH-Geschichte unter Win7 x64 installieren? Ich würde ja ab und an auch mal wieder falten, aber mit ner ATI Karte ist das im Vergleich zu NV nur frustrierend und für SMP läuft mein System zu wenig .

Ja...ich hoffe auch, dass Deino MPI bzw. MPICH endlich aussortiert werden und sich die Deadlines verlängern...ATI läuft bei mir ganz gut, hab so 2200-3000ppd auf meiner 4850, je nach WU.
'Papers' sind im angelsächsischen IMMER Veröffentlichungen, 'veröffentlichte Papers' ist eine Tautologie ...
Es gibt auch unpublished Papers.
