Das kostenlose Tag-Editor für Audio-Dateien Mp3tag ist in der Version 2.46 verfügbar. Mit dem Programm lassen sich bequem die Tags verschiedener Audio-Formate wie Mp3tag ID3v1, ID3v2.3, ID3v2.4, iTunes MP4, WMA, Vorbis Comments oder APE-Tags bearbeiten. Desweiteren lassen sich Playlists erstellen und kostenlose Online-Datenbanken wie freedb abfragen wo man auch gleich das passende Album-Cover mit herunterladen kann.
Neu in dieser Version sind u.a. eine Explorer Shell Erweiterung zur Einbindung in Kontextmenüs und die Drag'n'Drop-Funktion im Dialog für Tag-Quellen.
Mp3tag läuft unter Windows ab Windows XP bzw. Windows 2003, sowohl unter den 32Bit als auch unter den 64Bit Versionen.
