Dallas, November 14th 2018. BIOS IT, a global IT consultancy and solution provider, will showcase its Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) solutions, powered by AMD EPYC™ processors at SC18. Leveraging the industry leading performance with the most cores, memory and I/O¹ of AMD EPYC™ processors, BIOS IT’s solutions can deliver the scalability and lower total cost of ownership needed to meet the demands of new emerging workloads.

Using FEA and CFD techniques within the design process for product manufacturing is an absolute necessity for organisations to remain competitive in today’s landscape. Using FEA to model structural mechanics and often combining that with CFD to model air/liquid flows across products can dramatically reduce the time to market with new products and solutions for organisations, as well as allow organisations, examine more design variants and/or increasing the complexity of models simulated. Whatever the computation level required, our solutions are designed to scale from a single user or small user groups to virtually unlimited parallel capacity or large user group options at enterprise level.

BIOS IT is offering customers the ability to run simulations on its own state‐of‐the‐art clusters, backed by a team of experts. The CFD Solutions Team can aid in tuning meshing and solver performance through process and memory bindings, to deliver staggering results. Including integrated, industry-leading software such as ANSYS, Open‐FOAM, Pam‐Crash and STAR‐CCM+ (among others), the solution is specifically designed to improve development efficiency. Working with vScaler, BIOS IT can also deliver an on‐premise CFD optimized cloud solution, with ready‐to‐execute pre‐integrated application. Specifically designed to improve access and advance time to market ‐ customers can simplify their software setup while delivering faster analysis than legacy desktop workstations.

With technologies like vGPU built into the platform combined with a centralised high-performance storage backend, pre/post processing workloads and visualisation of data sets has never been so easy. No more migrating and managing data workflows for engineers to visualise results on their desktop system. All user interaction can be managed and accessed centrally providing more security governance around data access and also enabling groups of engineers to collaborate seamlessly.

Sukh Dhillon, EMEA Sales Director at AMD adds “Working with HPC Innovators like BIOS IT ensures that AMD can deliver outstanding performance, memory and IO solutions to an ever growing range of workloads. BIOS IT’s CFD offering powered by AMD EPYC™ provides a compelling and proven solution for customers looking to optimize their performance per dollar”.

BIOS IT will showcase its AMD EPYC™ powered solutions for CFD at this year’s Supercomputing Conference (SC18), November 12th‐November 15th on booth #638.
