Folgene Presse-Mitteilung erreichte uns hierzu.
"Taipei, Taiwan, Nov 1, 2002 - Have you ever had the experience of being bombarded by the enormous noises from your CPU fan while you were enjoying music CD? Or in the still of the night, when you were obsessed in surfing the internet, you wish that this whole fan buzzing thing could stop for just one second? With years of research, involving Electronic, Air Dynamic Thermal, Mechanical Engineering and BIOS, AOpen proudly introduces "SilentTek", the Silent PC Technology, on our new generation of AOpen motherboards.
There are a total of 4 fan noise reduction algorithms, and one CDROM noise control function: Smart Fan, Fixed Fan, Multiple Level, and AOpen Recommended Setting. Among all, the Smart Fan algorithm is the innovative algorithm developed by AOpen. If you are not running too many applications with heavy loading, you may find your CPU fan is almost always running at zero RPM.
The traditional Voltage/Fan and Temperature Hardware Monitoring functions are also included in SilentTek, you may log all of the history in your hard disk or display them by diagram."
