ULi, die PC-Chipsatzsparte von ALi (Acer Laboratories Inc.) hat in einer Pressemitteilung die M1573 Southbridge vorgestellt. Diese soll mittels eines PCI Express Links an entsprechende Northbridges angeschlossen werden, wobei ULi explizit Northbridges von ATI erwähnt.
"When combined with ATI's next generation graphics integrated north bridges, M1573 enables the best performance leading and cost efficient PCI Express solutions for Intel's Pentium® M and Pentium® 4, and AMD Athlon™ 64 platforms. The solutions, consequently, allow global OEM/ODM to deliver quality products at various price points."

Zu den weiteren Features der Southbridge zählen 8 USB 2.0(1.1) Ports, 4 SATA (AHCI)Anschlüsse, High Fidelity Azalia Audio und Raid 0, 1, und 0+1.
