Im Oktober des letzten Jahres veröffentlichte die Mozilla Foundation mit Firefox 2.0 ein neues Major-Release des Open Source Webbrowsers (wir berichteten). Nun steht mit der Version 2.0.0.5 ein neues Update zum Download bereit.
In Kürze wird die neue Version auch über die Updatefunktion des Firefox Browsers verfügbar sein.
As part of Mozilla Corporation’s ongoing stability and security update process, Firefox 2.0.0.5 is now available for Windows, Mac, and Linux for free download from http://getfirefox.com.
Due to the security fixes, we strongly recommend that all Firefox users upgrade to this latest release.
If you already have Firefox 2.0.0.x, you will receive an automated update notification within 24 to 48 hours. This update can also be applied manually by selecting “Check for Updates…” from the Help menu starting later today.
If you are still running Firefox 1.5.0.x, you are highly encouraged to upgrade to the Firefox 2 series as Mozilla has ceased support for Firefox 1.5.0.x. Simply choose “Check for Updates…” from the Help menu to begin the upgrade process.
