Das freie Vektorgrafik-Programm Inkscape ist in der Version 0.47 verfügbar. Mit dem Programm lassen sich Vektorgrafiken wie Logos, Diagramme oder Schriftzüge erstellen und bearbeiten. Damit eignet sich Inkscape z.B. auch für die Produktion von Plakaten oder Flyern. Die Entwickler des von Inkscape achten dabei vor allem auf die Konformität zum SVG-Standard.
Gleichzeitig mit der Veröffentlichung der neuen Version steht auch eine aktualisierte Version des Buchs Inkscape: Guide to a Vector Drawing Program als Buch, PDF und kostenlos im Internet zur Verfügung.
Inkscape läuft unter Windows, Mac OS X, Linux und vielen Unix-Derivaten.
