Microsoft hat für das Betriebssystem Windows 2000 inkl. SP1 und SP2 einen Patch released, der einen Bug beim Resuming aus dem Standby beheben soll. Der Bug ist in Q311537 beschrieben:
SYMPTOMS Certain devices may stop working when your computer resumes from standby.
CAUSE This problem occurs because the Pci.sys driver does not wait the required 10 milliseconds to access the device after the power is restored.
RESOLUTION A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem described in this article and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive additional testing at a later time, to further ensure product quality. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Windows 2000 service pack that contains this fix.
