Mit der Beta 1 hat die Mozilla Foundation eine Vorabversion des Firefox 3.6 zum Download freigegeben. Firefox 3.6 basiert auf der Version 1.9.2 der Gecko Rendering Engine.
Wie üblich empfiehlt Mozilla die Beta-Version nur Entwicklern und Testern, also nicht für Produktivumgebungen. Außerdem weist man darauf hin, dass einige Webseiten nicht korrekt dargestellt werden und einige Addons nicht funktionieren könnten.
