Das freie Bildbearbeitungsprogramm GIMP wurde in der Version 2.6.8 veröffentlicht. In der neuen Version wurden einige Fehler beseitigt.
GIMP läuft unter Windows ab Windows 2000 SP4, Linux und weiteren Plattformen. Außerdem steht für Windows 64Bit eine experimentelle Version 2.6.6 zum Download bereit.
