"Personally I think that the SiS735 DDR has a great potential of making it the de-facto chipset preferred by users. Initially, I was quite skeptical about it's performance. The only reason is because it's results shown on the powerpoint slides are probably extracted from old records. The graph shows SiS735 the top performer.
While we test out this board and ran through the various tests, we see that the SiS735 reference outperforming most of the boards we have tested so far. This is especially apparent for the newer VIA KT266 boards. As for the AMD and ALi platforms, they lack behind in quite a number of categories considering that these scores are based on my tests that are done early this year. The newer BIOS and revisions of chipsets if any might have improved the scores.
We also made some enquiries of various manufacturers which do not want to be named regarding the SiS735. They told me that the performance is indeed impressive and they are ready to invest R&D efforts to make it even better and market it."
