""Because of its inherent manufacturing and cost advantages, we are able to offer all of our DDR SDRAM products, including PC2100 CL2 modules and PC266 CL2 components, at the same price as SDRAM," said Fred Waddel, Director of Sales for Micron's Computing and Consumer Group. "DDR SDRAM appears to be the next high-volume DRAM architecture to be adopted and we are leading the industry in providing high-volume production of this cost-effective solution." [...] PC2100 DDR SDRAM modules meeting the CL2 specification provide data faster than parts meeting the CL2.5 specification by reducing the lead-off latency. "Although both speed options provide the same peak burst rate, PC2100 CL2 modules offer a lead-off latency 11% lower than PC2100 CL2.5 DDR SDRAM modules," added Tom Kinsley, DRAM Applications Engineer. "This is the lowest lead-off latency in high-volume DRAMs available today." "
